Where to stay in Balatonalmadi

Advantages: The hotel has a great location, a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, and there's a paid parking lot if you drive. The views are nice, with direct mountain and Lake Balaton views from the windows. The price is relatively reasonable for Hungary. We spent 3 days here with my boyfriend. We were completely satisfied. Friendly reception staff, pleasant and delicious food. The building is beautiful on the inside. We will definitely visit more Hunguest hotels in the future; we were totally satisfied. I really don’t understand all the negative reviews.

Friendly staff, good facilities, good food

A beautiful hotel by the lake with a private beach in walking distance. Great selection of food for breakfast and dinner. The Spa and sauna facilities were excellent and spotless clean. There were plenty of sun beds in the garden. The views from the higher floor windows were stunning of the lake and surrounding area and the rooftop bar was a delightful bonus to watch the sun setting.

The elevators are very slow especially during dinner and breakfast time. We got floor towels instead of normal big towels. the receptionist said they will send us towels but they didn't. So we didn't have any towels. The water was leaking from the shower. The hotel was beautiful but I wasn’t satisfied with any of the services.

The only hotel in Balatonalmadi that is right on the Balaton bike trail and has its own beach front. You can also rent SUP and the staff is super nice. The hotel belongs to one of the universities so staying here you also support young people.

We are returnees to this hotel for various reasons. It is nice and quiet even in high season and has a private Balaton beach. The kitchen staff is very accommodating to requests, and other staff is also very helpful. Bikes available to use, and in summer season you can rent SUP as well. They have a nice playground and a small outdoor kids pool.

This hotel is a complete throw back, stay here and go back in time 30 years. The food is hearty, the staff friendly (I got to learn some Hungarian from one of the wait staff). You won’t get good internet service but you will get a chance to really relax and take some lovely swims and walks.

We stayed for two weeks and held our wedding there! Friendly and accommodating staff who really looked after us. We enjoyed using the Volleyball court and table tennis. Excellent location with a private beach and free use of sun loungers. Comfortable rooms with balcony, fridge and hairdryers. Great value overall and would certainly recommend!

Everything was wonderful! The staff is great, always smiling. If you have any kind of problem or complaint, they strive to find a solution right away. Their private beach is nice as well, though open to the public, it is never crowded. Really great value for the money! My only complaint, is that the coffee at breakfast is really bad 😀

My first feeling when we entered was that everything here is there to enchant the guest. Together with its garden, it is an oasis-like island, with wonderful plants, flowers, and trees. We rented a whole apartment on the second floor to get more privacy. It's very much recommended if you travel with older kids who want to have their own room. Nice, clean hotel with great service. The room amenities were nicely done, spacious, and rooms were very comfortable. Great breakfast with many choices and yummy coffee. good location,we will choose this place when we visit Balatonalmádi again.

It was excellent, little close to the train station, so you could hear the train. The service more than made up for the little noise.

This Mediterranean hotel is a real gem among the accommodations on Lake Balaton. They are kind, friendly, attentive. The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool is amazing. The train unfortunately goes close, but on the one hand it is natural in Balchin and on the other hand it was not overly disturbing. The guest is welcome to return here!
