Good but not good enough This hotel needs an urgent upgrade. The spa area is great as is. But the coffe machine would have flooded the restaurant if i would have not told thexstaff. We stayed for 2 nights during the Tábor festival. The place was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

It's true that we were only there from Saturday to Sunday, but we were very satisfied. Clean rooms, nice reception and the other employees too! Delicious breakfast! The beach is just a few minutes away! We have already booked again :) I recommend it to everyone!

We booked a hotel room for one night with my 10-month-old daughter. Everything was great, we got a cot, a high chair for breakfast, the staff was very kind and flexible! 😊

The place is very retro (happy ’70s). Aside from the fact that nothing was invested in the exterior of the hotel, the rooms are neat, clean and whitewashed. A beautiful hotel by the lake with a private beach in walking distance. Great selection of food for breakfast and dinner. The Spa and sauna facilities were excellent and spotless clean. There were plenty of sun beds in the garden. The views from the higher floor windows were stunning of the lake and surrounding area and the rooftop bar was a delightful bonus to watch the sun setting.

The elevators are very slow especially during dinner and breakfast time. We got floor towels instead of normal big towels. the receptionist said they will send us towels but they didn't. So we didn't have any towels. The water was leaking from the shower. The hotel was beautiful but I wasn’t satisfied with any of the services.

The only hotel in Balatonalmadi that is right on the Balaton bike trail and has its own beach front. You can also rent SUP and the staff is super nice. The hotel belongs to one of the universities so staying here you also support young people.

We are returnees to this hotel for various reasons. It is nice and quiet even in high season and has a private Balaton beach. The kitchen staff is very accommodating to requests, and other staff is also very helpful. Bikes available to use, and in summer season you can rent SUP as well. They have a nice playground and a small outdoor kids pool.

This hotel is a complete throw back, stay here and go back in time 30 years. The food is hearty, the staff friendly (I got to learn some Hungarian from one of the wait staff). You won’t get good internet service but you will get a chance to really relax and take some lovely swims and walks.

We stayed for two weeks and held our wedding there! Friendly and accommodating staff who really looked after us. We enjoyed using the Volleyball court and table tennis. Excellent location with a private beach and free use of sun loungers. Comfortable rooms with balcony, fridge and hairdryers. Great value overall and would certainly recommend!

Everything was wonderful! The staff is great, always smiling. If you have any kind of problem or complaint, they strive to find a solution right away. Their private beach is nice as well, though open to the public, it is never crowded. Really great value for the money! My only complaint, is that the coffee at breakfast is really bad 😀

Tried for one night. It was clean and quiet. But a very small room with the smallest shower I have ever experienced in my life, I felt a bit like I was in a submarine. Location is the best part, directly on the lake shore, with a beautiful park in front of the hotel. Otherwise it's good enough, nothing special. They offer rich breakfast in the morning and cooked warm dinner in the evening. But the hotel is quite dated, old-school, "retro".

Clean and comfortable room, a little outdated and in need of an overhaul. Quite expensive for Hungarian prices, but would stay there again. No complaints. They also handled an infestation of moths that had arrived through what I thought was a closed window very rapidly!

A really great hotel that is in a good location near the promenade. Nice to have access to the hotel beach too.

Hotel is about 12 min walk from the bus station. Few minutes walk to the lake Balaton and to the nearby shops. Rooms are good for the price. You have to come to the reception for anything you need. There is no elevator. Breakfast was very basic.

Very helpful staff, sumptuous breakfast, peaceful atmosphere. We are in Füred because of a running competition, so we asked for an early breakfast, which was fulfilled without batting an eye. Unfortunately, we forgot a plush toy, which was sent by post the next day We recommend it to everyone!

We were very happy to find this place for a good price, close to the town center, close to the train station. It is clean, neat, very nice place. It has a “lobby” with fridge to use that you share with others. You can make coffee there too. The owners live nearby and can be reached. They are very friendly and welcoming. Our 2 day stay was pleasant and we will return there when we visit the town.

This review is way overdue. We stopped by this place in the summer of 2023. Very polite owner, secure parking, clean room. Highly recommend this place. We took the picture the next day after we already slept in the bed, so it doesn't look perfect but still wanted to share a picture of the nice room. 🙂

Very good accomodation for a reasonable price. We had a delay few hours, but it was no problem for the owner. We recommed it, very kind people.

Very friendly host who is always helpful, great location and clean room!! There are towels, TV, coffee, Wi-Fi and everything for convenience. The price matches the quality! I will advise all my friends who go to Balatonfured. Thank you very much for your hospitality and I wish you prosperity and good luck!

Very kind and nice people who cares about your holiday to go as well as it is possible. The rooms are very clean and nice. Calm place with lovely garden situated very near to plage and centrer of the maindan.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel has been newly refurbished, and everything felt fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean. The spa facilities were excellent and guaranteed maximum relaxation. Everything was so good. The location, the rooms, the service and especially the people’s kindness. Not usually that type but I might be coming back for another time.

Great hospitality, clean and modern rooms, tasty dinner. Sufficient breakfast, but unfortunately exactly the same for both mornings.

Great hotel, right at the Balaton, like literally, you just have to step out of the building. Spacious, good atmosphere, elegant design. A good European all-inclusive hotel with clean pools, well-maintained, spacious grounds, plenty of space, and plenty of entertainment for small children (half the hotel's guests). Safety and privacy. The food isn't very varied, but it's fine for a three-star hotel. Ice cream is available on the beach all day.

"There's a shortage of seating in the dining room. People smoke on the beach loungers because, instead of information about the smoking ban and the designated areas, there's a notice saying not to feed the ducks. The rooms are too small for two people, and staying in them with three people, even just in the evening, is a nightmare. I understand that I have to vacate the room at 10:00 on my last day...

The room was not very clean, and the bed sheet had blood stains. I asked the waiter to change it immediately after checking in. The location of the hotel is OK, with its own beach.

Good hotel. Convenient location. Only minor problem was that the pool water was over chlorinated.

The price reflects mainly the "all inclusive" side (food, drinks and own beach), than the rest of the facilities (room size and location- althought an impressive view for those on top floor rooms).The hotel itfself seems to be an old building, refreshed with some upgrades. Food and the staff except one person at the reception

We had a wonderful stay at the Margareta Hotel. Really nice staff and excellent food (we had half board). The room looks a bit older, but it is very clean. We took the opportunity to play table tennis and the children and wife tried a very pleasant wellness. It would be nice to strengthen the wifi a bit and to put at least a basic small kettle in the room so that I could make my favorite tea next time...

I've been sometime in Balatonfüred and now we tried this hotel, because it was renovated in the last years and they gave us a special price. The hotel has new BUT small SPA department within 2 Jacuzzi's and 1 small pool for children and sauna's. The room's size was average and it was clean. Very nice hotel, close to the camp next to danubius hotel. Hotel has room where to save bikes. Biking is common around Balaton. Outside pool and wellness also perfect. Dinning was perfect, breakfast and dinner were perfect, I can recommend. More smiles from staff ;)
