The only hotel in Balatonalmadi that is right on the Balaton bike trail and has its own beach front. You can also rent SUP and the staff is super nice. The hotel belongs to one of the universities so staying here you also support young people.

We are returnees to this hotel for various reasons. It is nice and quiet even in high season and has a private Balaton beach. The kitchen staff is very accommodating to requests, and other staff is also very helpful. Bikes available to use, and in summer season you can rent SUP as well. They have a nice playground and a small outdoor kids pool.

I've never been a guest at the hotel, but I've been visiting this beach/lido every year for over 45 years since my early childhood when I spent every summer at Lake Balaton. It's always been more expensive than other beaches in the area, but until a couple of years ago, it used to be worth the price: it was safer to leave stuff lying around while you went for a swim, it had nice shady trees and a well-maintained lawn. And, partly due to the price, it hardly ever got overcrowded. Over the last few years, the place has been on the decline. I repeat, this is not about the hotel, of which I have no knowledge except that it's exorbitantly expensive. Most of the shade trees are gone and the replacements are young and not well tended. The lawn is unkempt and not mown frequently enough, which means it's full of flowering clover, hence full of bees, so you can no longer move about unshod. The entry prices continue to rise, without a correspondingly better service. This year (2024), they have gone so far as to close the snack bar, so lángos is only available at weekends, fish not at all, and there's only a choice of two or three kinds of meals at the hotel's restaurant. Nota bene, they charge you extra for a ticket that allows you to leave the place and re-enter. This year may have been the last that I visited here. The municipal beach next door is much cheaper and has better amenities. Shame.

This hotel is a complete throw back, stay here and go back in time 30 years. The food is hearty, the staff friendly (I got to learn some Hungarian from one of the wait staff). You won’t get good internet service but you will get a chance to really relax and take some lovely swims and walks.

We stayed for two weeks and held our wedding there! Friendly and accommodating staff who really looked after us. We enjoyed using the Volleyball court and table tennis. Excellent location with a private beach and free use of sun loungers. Comfortable rooms with balcony, fridge and hairdryers. Great value overall and would certainly recommend!

Despite of the fact I spent my childhood there, unfortunately I cannot write good things today as a grown-up. The overall quality of the room was pritty bad. The wall in our room was not clean neither the terrace, bathroom tap did not function well for us, bath was rusty, showerhead was fusty. The beach is not well maintained, but it has excellent view to the lake though. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids and the offer was around 36000 huf for 2 nights but during the check out I was told that they did a wrong calculation therefore the total amount is 51000 huf. What ??? Omg...
Service was good during breakfast and dinner.
I dont recommend it !

Everything was wonderful! The staff is great, always smiling. If you have any kind of problem or complaint, they strive to find a solution right away. Their private beach is nice as well, though open to the public, it is never crowded. Really great value for the money! My only complaint, is that the coffee at breakfast is really bad 😀
