I really enjoyed staying at Varda hotel. The administration and all the team are really friendly and helpful! Rooms are clean and cozy. 10 out of 10!

loved it. looks better than the pics. brand new, stylish, overlooking a lake with water lilies. nice comfy rooms with stylish bathrooms. right next to the water park and more kids attractions. opposite a commercial area with a tesco, loads of cheap shops like pepco etc. very convenient. everything is within walking distance.

Varda Sport Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were nice and spotlessly clean, creating a comfortable environment. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall, it was a great experience, highly recommend, and I would happily stay here again!

Stayed for the first time in this hotel, very close to the sports park nearby, we came for business and since it was out of tourist season and there weren’t any sports events we were nearly alone in the hotel, yet they were still able to offer a very nice breakfast in the morning. Modern spacious rooms, and very quiet, no remarks can be given about this hotel

The rooms are VERY comfortable, adjustable AC, minifridge, airdryer, etc. Everything felt clean, I didnt try the spa or the pool cause i was on a work trip, but a very nice experience.It is a good choice to accomodate the theatre festival participants here. The breakfast was okay, not bad and nothing exceptional.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a larger group and had a great stay. The hotel staff were very accommodating despite our unique requirements. We felt very comfortable and the rooms were also clean. Thank you very much for all your help and hope to see you again very soon.

Great place at reasonable prices. Coffee is on the house for breakfast, but be advised they don't have a restaurant on site, just a small shop. It's really nice to drink your coffee in the shade, next to the lake behind the pension. Would recommend!

We got a bit small room (3+1) , but nice.

Really nice hotel and staff. It's also great that they have tickets to the zoo and spa so you don't need to bother to queue for those on the spot. The hotel has direct access to the spa. The room was spacious, modern and in general better than in the pictures on Booking. 😊

The night of February 16, 2018 was spent at Hotel Írisz. Located using our favorite on-line booking engine, we were happy with both the accommodations and the price. Parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi / W-LAN Internet access were included in the price. Recommended.

I was looking forward to this trip but unfortunately the hotel did not meet the expectations. The rooms were nice but the swimming pools were really dirty and full of dead skin. Everyday it smelled like urine around the bathrooms and there was a lot of water on the floor. Absolutely disgusting. The food was good but there was not much diversity. Once the fruits put out were done, there was no replacing...

I was there for a business trip and forgot my iPad in the room after I checked out. They delivered it to the office. That’s 5 star service! Everything else - rooms/ breakfast/ general service as well was perfect.

The hotel and the rooms are nicely renovated. The location is good. The elevators are unbelievably slow, but more importantly, the food is very average, definitely not 4* standard. Not strictly hotel issue, but we were expecting better spa facilities as well.

It's a very nice hotel placed in a quiet place. It's very closed to the Aquapark and the Zoo. We stayed at this hotel in March this year. The rooms are very clean, and the breakfast was very good. I do recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at this little hotel in Nyiregyhaza. It's situated outside the city, but near te Aquarius aquapark and at a 5 minute walk from the Zoo. Also in walking distance there are some good restaurants you must try. Rooms are small but clean, staff ok, except that they speak poor English. Breakfast also fair for the money you pay.

The hotel is clean, nice, you have robes for the spa and towels. The breakfast was good, but it would be nice to have more variety if you stay more than one night. The rooms are not very big, but they have a big and comfortable bed. Also, in the room price is included the entrance at the aqua park. The staff is very polite and you have parking space.

Was great for a 3 stars hotel, you get free tickets for the spa as well for everyday you sleep there. Also the prices are quiet reasonable.

Very nice place, very good service and the location is amazing. It is near the zoo and the aquapark, just a walking distance. Breakfast is good and with plenty of food. The pool is very nice.

We had a great stay, rooms are older style but very clean and spacious, hotel is in a big park with many trees, breakfast was mainly Hungarian style but very tasty, its also just a few minutes walk to the aquapark or zoo, there is also a hamster and a turtle in the lobby 😊, the staff was nice friendly and helpful. Nice, quiet area in the woods, away from all the traffic and tourist sights.

We stayed two nights. Great location by the pools and zoo. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable. We were also able to park during peak season, which is a problem if you need to drive to the attractions.

The staff is the best part of the hotel!!! Most have been working there for many years and felt welcomed each and every time. Small rooms, but comfortable. No screen on qindows or patio door. The hotel is on the edge of the town, you can get in the city center in 5 minutes by driving. It is a quiet place. The patio had no lights and had lots of tree debris and dead bugs on it. Overall the hotel could be cleaner.

Overall good, we had a good time there. The room we had was a little outdated, didn't look like the photos, the furniture seemed older but in good shape and clean. The hair dryer was not working, but we called the reception, and they provided one. The bathroom walls are made of glass, so there is no privacy in the bathroom. Awesome, friendly staff, good prices.

The food in the restaurant was great (both breakfast and dinner). The rooms are cosy, the indoor pool was small but kids loved it. Horses around the property kind of surround you with tranquility; we got scared by one but it ended up just fine. Overall, a very nice atmosphere!

This wonderful place is at one time traditional but also completely modern with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The food is incredible, the service is second to none. I need to mention the service a lot. Nothing is too much trouble.

This hotel belongs to the same organization as the local zoo. They offer free entrance when you stay here. The hotel is very basic and a bit old but very well maintained. The room had a lot of space and was spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a forest which is great for a walk or run. The breakfast was also basic but correct and the service was super, we had a nice stay here!

Wifi is very bad not usable work in IT and i need wifi. Rooms are very oldstylish with no nice view. Update Feb 2025: i got room 110 the wifi is much better then room 103. The view is on the street so its also ok. The only thing is the hot water...you need to keep the water running for 10-minutes to get hot . Service was excellent.

Wonderful, tasty, and authentic Hungarian food. Attentive service and reasonable prices. We particularly liked the cabbage rolls (töltött kapuszta) and the hungarian crepes (palacsinta). Air conditioning was good, in a city that doesn't have it everywhere.

Well, the place looks nice. Resembles authentic old architecture. Rooms are nicr, bathroom is great. Caution for tourists: Revolut cards do not work, I have no idea why.

Old casino/castle transformed into a hotel, affordable prices, good breakfast and free bicycles to rent throughout all the day. In the very city center near the cathedral, and the parking lot is accesible from the back of the building. 400m to the mall, and the street is full of restaurants with good prices also.

We organised a family weekend here with 25 guests. All generations were participating, including small kids, teenagers, adults and elderly. All of them found their preferred activities, either in the pool, or in the bar playing bowling/ billiard/ darts or just sitting in the garden. The food was excellent and more than enough. We got a separate conference room where we could project a family video...

We had a very good time there, the room was cosy and clean, with all the facilities. Also the wellness was pleasing, it wasn't crowded at all. The Service was 10/10, very helpful and respectful, they even managed us a massage, I didn't had to deal with anything. I fully recommend!!

Overall, the Hotel is really good. However there were some issues I experienced. 1. My room didn't have a balcony, nor their was a cigarette smoking area near to my room. 2. The wellness service was closed on the day of my stay as they said that gas prices have increased. That was not expected. 3. Nice wellness spa hotel. Staff was very helpful and kind, cuisine was great, breakfast pretty decent. Really enjoyed the hotel and the pool was really nice. Room was a little small and the shower head was fixed which I didn’t like. They can improve a bit the cleaning.

It's a nice place. The food is great. Traditionally authentic and the flavours just extraordinary good. We had a team building over here, and the staff was dead nice to us. Definitely recommend it.
