Maria Hotel in Balatonmariafurdo

The rooms are pretty bad. They make me feel like I am in the socialist era, the building is not really maintained just cleaned. The staff tries being friendly, but it looks like for me that there are only three persons for the whole hotel and they barely can keep up with the guests and personal life.

The breakfast, the meal and the dinner is all-you-can-eat in form of a "warm buffet" and I think that it was tasty enough. There are two "menus", a regular and a vegetarian. On the picture attached you can see everybody taken from both "menus" because both were delicious that day. The food is fine, but far from a restaurant quality.

There is WiFi in the hotel, but very weak. A smartphone barely can sense it in the rooms, but you can look up is you need something, and otherwise, I recommend sitting in the hallway or in the canteen or on the terasse rather than in your room.

This is a ⭐ or ⭐⭐ hotel. We've paid 14.4 EUR for two nights (not including food and parking), I think it's a little too much, but concerning the other prices next to lake Balaton, it is OK.

The hotel is literally on the shore with a lawn-strand. I think the rooms on the higher level are better quality.

This is a horrible place, basically soviet union style. Many spiders, mosquitos and cockroaches. No air conditioner, too hot in the room even at night time. If you want to look at the lake you'd better not waste your impressions by staying at this hotel.

Maria Hotel, Balatonmáriafürdő, Hungary. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The location is good but the hotel room was like a container, very tiny and not enough for a double bed. Big spiders are having their fun on the bed !! Very unclean, wet, filthy bath room - dirty smell coming out from the drainage hole. Very unfriendly service, breakfast was extremely bad, barely ate. They ignored me when I complained about the breakfast. It's a substandard hotel. I paid Є108 for 1 night, in my opinion, it is not even worth for Є15. The worst hotel I have ever stayed.

Probably the worst hotel i have ever seen. Nothing like on the pictures, in advanced state od decay. Do not enter, do not buy, better book more expensive one or do not enter at all.
