Where to stay in Balatonszabadi Furdotelep

Itt was an amazenig place and people.

Me and my fiancé had a great experience here, the rooms are super cosy and vibey. The facilities here are placed well as you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Balaton while relaxing. I can honestly say even after 2 nights here I feel refreshed and pampered. One of the staff members, Lia was so friendly and accommodating too which really enhanced how pleasant this destination is.

Room was nice. An arm chair for my husband would have been good since ge sleeps in an armchair. Lake view was very nice

The place is super, beautiful clean rooms wonderful lakefront with own access to boats and fantastic jacutti. Loved it, i can recommend it fully. Food was also nice and sow as the service. They were kind and attentive. I would be happy to viair again.

Nice with a few suggestions for improvements The actual place was nice. The check in process was challenging. We had to download an app and put in our passport information, etc. we didn’t have good internet service so it was very difficult. Clean place, nice garden, walls quite thin but this seems to be a standard thing in this area of lake Balaton. The apartment has the strict necesities except a wine opener. The mattress would need an upgrade, the sleep hasn't been quite pleasant.

The website has stated a right amount for a maximum occupancy of four guests but we still have been charged for an extra €15 on top and said just because the apartment fits for 2 person and further additional occupancy pays £15 each. For a short passing through stay ok. Very close to the lake . Rooms slowly looking tired. Shower room and bathroom on our arrival not very clean. Wifi did not work on any of our devices closer than 10m to accomodation. Shower room floor gets flooded every time you use the shower!. It is enclosed on three sides with one side open. It’s a really retro hotel, it can give you a true hungarian nostalgic feeling. Pro: very clean, next to the beach Contra: the food is bad, the staff is rude, kinda expensive It’s not worth it.

Beachside hotel at the Balaton. Supercheap, retro with all the problems that come with it. If you spend most of your time on the beach anyway or come with kids it is great. If you want your room to be supercomfy with airconditioning and silence, forget it.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days, and we had a good experience. The hotel was pretty good, but I don’t think it’s a luxury hotel. The hotel is quite big, the rooms are cozy and big. The breakfasts and dinners are nice and have variety. They have a gameroom with foosball, biliard and darts which we enjoyed pretty much (although the darts is overpriced). I stayed in this hotel at the end of June 2023. If you're a fan of peace and quiet, excellent food and a great room, I truly recommend this place. I was not a hotel guest, I was undergoing a medical examination. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The doctor and the assistant treated me kindly and carefully. I can warmly recommend it to everyone!

I spent two amazing weeks at Calendula Hospital. The staff and doctors are professional, kind, and truly caring. I loved how they combine Western medicine with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Therapists, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and healthy personalized meals made my stay exceptional. I can’t wait for follow-ups, massages, and my yearly treatment!

First of all, it must be said that this is a medical institution! People come here for treatment, not for relaxation! So don't count on restaurants and alcohol, there is none! Here is a deep detox and treatment! If Ayurveda is your thing and you don't want to fly to India, then here is a piece of it on the shores of Lake Balaton.
