Nice hotel on a small hill with wonderful view! Close to the lake Balaton and nice regions around the Balaton! Wellness area small and nice, only the whirlpool didnt work

We have visited the Hotel several times, every visit was a pretty satisfying experience

Nice hotel with fantastic view about 500 metres from the Lake Balaton, helpful and flexible staff, wonderful dishes, a huge and perfect wellness centre

Beautiful hotel, fantastic location, nice and clean wellness area. Staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant food was pretty decent too.

Opening times a bit to short or difficult to manage with dinner time. Rooms nice and clean, comfortable bed, balcony or terrace and big bathroom. Restaurant with nice view! The terrace is lovely to sit outside

But unfortunately (in July) eating was a bit of a challenge cause of wasps. The service was a bit unattentive. Food was good but with to less variety

Very nice accomodation and a family-like atmosfere. Amenities include breakfast, parking, Air conditioning, TV, mini-refrigerator, etc

At a beautiful location close to the beach a lovely hotel with extremely friendly staff. Definitely will come back again.

Exceptional Very good location The owners were very friendly, and helpfull. Everywhere on the property you can see the owners touch. They took care of every detail to make clients enjoy their vacation

The wellness section itself is fantastic, many warm pools, there is even a separate area for adults only and the numbers of saunas are simply amazing

Very clean rooms, Helpful stuff, Food is great, Playroom for children and pools are very nice

Our children enjoyed the pools, while we truly appreciated the wellness facilities, especially the sauna and jacuzzi

The food deserves special praise: the buffet offered an impressive variety of high-quality dishes and amazing desserts. The staff were kind, attentive and made us feel at home throughout our stay

The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the food was absolutely amazing as well, delicious, fresh, and with plenty of variety. What really stood out, was the staff

I highly recommend it for families with children of all ages, but it's also a great place to relax without kids

We got one medium sized towel for the whole stay and a literal table cloth for the pool/sauna which was absolutely useless, after asking we did not receive another towel we could use for the pool/sauna area

The room is only 3 stars but the dinner is royal! The hospitality perfect and the park is nice. There is inside pool which is also good.

The place is clean, there are 2 pools, the food was awesome and the rooms are too!

The hotel location is pretty good. The rooms are very clean but could use a 21st century update. Unfortunately the towel policy is a bit odd

Nothing like that! However, if you want to purchase some extra service or goods, you are welcome to do it there. The hotel is calm, family friendly, pretty democratic

Price reflects the standard of the room so don’t expect too much. Strange smell inside but clean. Comfy mattress and nice view from balcony. There’s kitchen (small) in the room but neither cutlery nor dishes

Decent wellness features, indoor and outside pool, a jacuzzi, not overly huge, but sufficient. The Libás-strand is in like 10 minutes walk, the port and promenade of Keszthely is approx

Kakadu hotel is situated in a quiet piece of town. There is a gas-station approximately 100-150 meters away. The personnel was very nice and they spoke German and English. Breakfest is buffet type and I found it tasty

It's a very rare case, when I haven't to say any bad word. Actually, I want to thank all the hotel staff and the hotel owners, who provided excellent service and made our trip amazing

Kind service, typical bed and breakfast service. You can count on lots of add ons. Wellnes, pools (small) but enough to cool down, table tennis, snooker, sauna, bicycles. 10 min to Balaton beach(paid)

Wonderful guesthouse with great service. We had a wonderful holiday, in the guesthouse you can not be bored. Pools, wellness, billiards, table tennis, playground

The receptionist was super nice and showed us everything. The guesthouse has three swimming pools and one whirlpool (the whirpool was little bit dirty), many possibilities for living

Breakfast great, many kinds of bread, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, muesli etc. Coffee, tea, milk hot and cold, juices. The guesthouse is located near the pier and near the city centre. Parking directly at the guesthouse

The SPA was also great, but what really impressed us was the abundance of varied, special and delicious foods

I would rank the culinary experience, what we had in the hotel into the top five out of the hundreds of hotels we have stayed in worldwide over the decades

The hotel exceeded our expectations, our room was clean, comfortable and had a lake view

The staff was kind and professional, especially Georgina, who helped us find an excellent room after the first one they assigned us only had a partial view of Lake Balaton

However when I check out the next morning, I expressed I wanted to feedback about the incident, the receptionist (a different lady) was very defensive and her attitude made me felt I was trying to creat problem

She said in harsh way that there is no *****, nothing happened before. In the first hand, I never say that there is *****, I just said I want to feedback about the light and I didn't get good sleep

Now don’t get me wrong the decor is a bit jaded and could do with an upgrade but this is a small simple lakeside hotel and not a 5 star luxury complex, but when we asked for late access to the pool and the sauna after a long day out the team did not hesitate to make those arrangements for us

Decent but better hotels available. Food not that great at the hotel. Pool was fine, best part was the jacuzzi and sauna.

We arrived about 1am in the morning as our flight was delayed. The hotel staff had made arrangements for us to collect room keys securely in the night and all the communication around the arrangements were excellent

We also had early starts leaving the hotel before 7am. For the days we needed i, the team arranged a cold breakfast to take away with us and plenty of it too! Nice roles with local chews and peppers, fruit etc

We went on a sporting weekend and we understand that this really was the last weekend of the tourist season before restaurants and hotels start closing for winter

We were happy with our stay and have to say the hotel staff really went out of their way to accommodate all our requests

I was advised I'd be staying in an annexe over the road, often being put in a separate building means a run down place for budget visitors but I was amazed!! This was like a suite with giant comfortable bedroom and attached bathroom & kitchenette looking out onto a garden

They didnt had built in air conditioner but they had a fan in the our room that kept the room cool especially in the night when we also opened windows. Short distancess to everywhere

The service was polite and caring. The hotel is a really charming country house vibe. We went with my family and they upgraded our room to bigger one than we originally had

The pictures of the hotel are old on the webside. They had nice clean white sheets and the room was clean

Today, July 26, 2025, my wife and I arrived at the Arkánum Hotel in Balatonmáriafürdő – and I can already say for sure: it surpasses all our previous hotel experiences! The service is perfect – every dish is fresh, tasty and plentiful

Simple hotel, very friendly staff. Pool with sauna and steam bath. So the windows can stay closed and you can't hear the train. Simple rooms with TV and fridge

We were satisfied with everything. The staff was very kind and direct, the room met all our needs. The hotel is in a frequented location, close to the beach. We were also able to store our bike in a safe, closed place

Comfortable accommodation with many services. The staff is kind and helpful. There are many restaurants, entertainment venues, services, commercial units in the area and the (free) beach is not too far away.

I can honestly say that this was the best hotel experience of our lives – and it has only just begun! I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants peace, quality and genuine hospitality at Lake Balaton

It is clear that they really work with their hearts and souls to make the guests feel as good as possible. We regularly visit different hotels, but the Arkánum Hotel stands out in every respect

Very pleasant English speaking staff, specially the owner Sanyi (read as Shanyi). The hotel is on the Lake with well kept loan and ladder to enter the Balaton lake. Walking distance are shops, bars and restaurants

I saw signs of a night club not far. Excelent choice for the money

It's a fair hotel with a fair price. I'd like to see that there's available WiFi in the hotel rooms but I wasn't so lucky.

The only disadvantage of this place is location, but not if you are driving by and have to stay for a night. Good breakfast, big room with mini kitchen, quiet place, friendly staff. All this for 48 eur.

An excellent resort, very tasty breakfasts and dinners, there are various SPA treatments, there are pools with thermal water of different temperatures, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, there is a sauna, hammam, etc

The best experience had in a thermal wellness hotel. From the amenities, indoor and outdoor pool, thermal pool, fitness room, play corner, a great restaurant and bar. Nice musical moments in the evening

The hotel's hot spring pool was fantastic! You must soak in it! I also really liked the surrounding environment of the hotel!

A wonderful vacation! The hotel's forest greenery was beautiful, the environment was lovely, and there was a lively band performance by the pool every day, adding to the ambiance

The room I was given was on the very top floor of the second floor, which was too low. There was no "No Smoking" sign outside the door, while most other rooms had them, so I naturally assumed it wasn't a non-smoking room
