Decent hotel.

Arrived in the heat after a long day in the saddle. Bike parked in the gazebo shade. Greeted with a nice welcome and told if we're out late to use a different door so we can still get in. Very helpful. Great price. Room was large, airy and had a fantastic balcony with a really nice view. An easy walk to the lake and so many places to eat. Awesome in hotel breakfast.

Comfortable accommodation with many services. The staff is kind and helpful. There are many restaurants, entertainment venues, services, commercial units in the area and the (free) beach is not too far away.

Today, July 26, 2025, my wife and I arrived at the Arkánum Hotel in Balatonmáriafürdő – and I can already say for sure: it surpasses all our previous hotel experiences!
The service is perfect – every dish is fresh, tasty and plentiful. The surroundings are beautiful and spotlessly clean, with attention to every detail. The room is modern, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need.
The staff is simply fantastic: from the reception to the dispatcher, everyone is smiling, kind and extremely helpful. It is clear that they really work with their hearts and souls to make the guests feel as good as possible.
We regularly visit different hotels, but the Arkánum Hotel stands out in every respect. I can honestly say that this was the best hotel experience of our lives – and it has only just begun!
I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants peace, quality and genuine hospitality at Lake Balaton.
We will definitely come back here!

Simple hotel, very friendly staff. Everything was very clean. Pool with sauna and steam bath. Breakfast ok. Rooms are air-conditioned. So the windows can stay closed and you can't hear the train. Simple rooms with TV and fridge.

We were satisfied with everything. The staff was very kind and direct, the room met all our needs. The hotel is in a frequented location, close to the beach. We were also able to store our bike in a safe, closed place. We look forward to seeing you again!

Food was awful. After we ordered, the meal arrived in literally 5 minutes, but meat had greenish color, and after a couple of bite you could feel it was not fresh!

Amazing food, wine and service! We have already been twice and plan to come back again before we leave. We tried two of the plates for two people... it comes with more food than you can eat, excellent wine and great palinka at a price you can’t beat!! A must visit!!

Fantastic chef- excellent dishes.
Rooms are very clean, having a fridge was a bonus for us.
My only issue was the pricing: you have to pay extra for parking, extra for A/C, extra for an unnecessary balkon, extra for tourist tax... I couldn't keep up with the so many extras. Overall we were happy with everything, but would have loved to pay less/none for the extras. (If you arrive by car- you'd need parking. Or you should be able to park for free on the street- but it is mandarory to pay...)

We have tried just the restaurant. There is a big sortiment on the menu table and the meals were good. The prices are acceptable in this period of the year. Altogether it is a good place to have a dinner here.

We really liked the hotel and their restaurant.The food was ammaizing,compliments to the chef.The gym outdated,I was only able to use the tredmill.The owner has his own wine,again just ammaizing.The only let down is ,the spders and spider webs all over the windows.We could not open the window to ,it was too hot in the room.Everyone was very friendly,helfull always.We would def. back,hopfully soon.N
