Good hotel for reasonable price. Breakfast was good. The only thing is that the walls are thin and you could hear everything that happens in the other rooms
Was a cozy hotel in a pleasant location, staff was very warm and welcoming. Only complaint we had was the breakfast, it was very limited and we did not know until afterwards that it would cost us 80$ CAD for two people to have some toast, fruit, and juice. The room itself was fine but the bathroom floor/shower was very sticky and felt dirty. Was a well priced option that suited our needs at the time
The hotel is approximately 7km away from the Route 1. The place is clean and tidy. The hotel style is simple and cosy with a lot of decoration (teapot collection is the most memorable). We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Food is good and overall room is clean and warm.
We booked the chalet for one night. We really loved the brillant service! Everyone was so nice and eager to help. We were the only guests who booked breakfast that morning and received a beautifully set table. The room was clean. The AC was a little loud and there are only 7 minutes of warm water during winter, which was manageable.
My wife and I were traveling the Ring Road, and stayed here for a night in one of the cabins/chalets. Not far off the Ring Road and an absolutely beautiful location. Waking up to gorgeous snow capped mountains was just the thing you need. Our chalet was adorable, equipped with everything you need and was surprisingly spacious. Bathroom was fine, shower water didn't get too warm but it's not an issue...
Nice hotel out in the country. Very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The room came with a private bath, which was really nice. Good food in the restaurant.

We had a great time here in this town and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!
We stayed at this hotel for one night during our South Iceland road trip. The building is quite new and modern, and the overall atmosphere is minimal and clean. The room was big and the bathroom was updated with a good shower and heated floors, which was nice after a long day of driving.
Easy and convenient stay. Ample parking space available
Worth it!!! Clean accommodations! There is a brewery right across the street!! I had a little difficulty with the keyless pads but they did work. I walked to the airport and to the lighthouse. The mini market had lots of varieties of foods, children’s toys, and even ice cream.
They forgot to send me the key code. We had to wait outside in the car as it was raining. The hotel, the nearby hotel and restaurant have the same owner. The restaurant staff were very friendly.
Thank you, it was great! On a very scenic fjord Breiddalsvik is a good place to plan a stop on a road trip in eastern Iceland and this hotel is the perfect place to stay: ultra friendly and megahelpful people, a comfortable and clean room, good local food: I shall do my best to come back and perhaps stay for a little bit longer!

Lovely interior, all wooden and very rustic. The breakfast was very diverse with good coffee, and the dinner was also very tasty! The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome.
Beautiful decorated wood and metal rooms. Good restaurant on site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and big living room to cheel out at night. The atmosphere in this hotel was the best.
Had a lovely experience here. We arrived late after the front desk closed, but the staff was still very accommodating to check us in. Not just that, when asked if there were any restaurants open nearby (there weren't), they prepared something from the kitchen which was already closed! Rooms were comfortable and lounge was very cute. Highly recommend this place.
The hotel is very clean and cozy. The dinner and breakfast were 5 stars. The staff is so friendly you won’t want to leave.
We stayed at this hotel for one night in April. It really amazed us. The longue room/library had such a cosy wooden interior and there is a sauna, we wish we spent more time here. Friendly staff at the reception. The rooms are clean and spacious. We highly recommend the breakfast, there were so many things to choose from, all delicious, especially the freshly baked bread. The whole town is quiet...
Very cute campsite (not very luxurious, but has warm toilets, no showers), very reasonable price (1000isk per person). The hotel lobby is very beautiful and a nice place to drink coffee. People here are super friendly. All in all an absolutely lovely experience. Hotel is situated right at the coast, which grants a lot of amazing views.

Had the best experience here along the way - great hosts, amazing design choices and everything you need for your Iceland (round) trip. So caring and great, amazing hosts. Highly recommend!
This place was beautiful and perfect for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals, and the bathrooms were very private and well-kept. The views are AMAZING! 100% recommend this place!
Was here in Sept 2023. Cozy place and despite strong storm and cold weather, we feel so warm inside. Kitchen clean and abundance of toilet. Meet good Denmark old couple and have good chat.. There is farm and nice waterfall just behind the place
Only 4 stars, as the description of the property varies wildly between sites. The name is either Havarí Hostel or Bráz Hostel, they might or might not have breakfast included (we didn't find any), and they might or might not have laundry services (we also couldn't find this). Rooms, bedding, and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-organized.
Simple and clean with a great view.
Great place if you are heading to East Iceland and the fjords. The owners are very nice and the hostel only has 6 rooms so it's very comfortable and not overcrowded. Kitchen is complete and shared refrigerator big enough for each room to have their own shelf.

Due to circumstances we made a last minute reservation and arrived at 22h. We were very warmly welcomed and even got the opportunity to upgrade our room to one with a private bathroom, free of charge. The common kitchen is cosy and well equiped. The location and the surroundings are beautiful, the breakfast is great (I definitely recommend the scones), and the staff was very kind! Only thing that was...
We had the pleasure to stay in the old house which is from 1906 and has been used as a hostel for over 50 years now. The house is kept in it's old condition with some necessary modernizations. So the ambience in there is quite cozy and calm even if the weather may be stormy and rainy. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the nereby sheep are adorable. We really loved it here and hope to come...
We found Berunes by chance and what a lovely place to stop over in the campervan. The facilities were first class and the host was helpful, considerate and sensible. We stopped during the storm and it rained the whole time unfortunately so missed out on the local walks and had to do with sitting in the bar drinking the locally brewed brown ale - but it was red ale mmmm
SUCH a lovely place. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the tiny cabin, so cozy and a perfect fit for our group.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Our wooden chalet was small and cozy, well equipped and had a fridge and 2 armchairs. However what made our stay really good was the dining room. The 4 course evening meal was superb, with local produce and home cooking. The food and drink were very good value for Iceland, the best value meal we have had all week. The breakfast was also really excellent. The family...
100/10 stay. One of our absolute favorite and most memorable places during our Iceland trip. The accommodation was so homey and well designed and spacious. Perfect for our family and baby. Great hotel, fabulous restaurant. Loved this little hotel. Warm and comfortable and the restaurant was delicious!! Gorgeous dining room and food was next level. One of the best meals we had in Iceland. Staff were lovely! Helpful, friendly, just a great spot all round.

Great historic hotel! Loved this place! Great character and thoughtful decor made it special. Excellent location and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Immaculate throughout. Highly recommend!

Staying in Dupivorgu is mainly a last resort choice for the itinerary. There is no hotel available in Hofn that day. All the rooms in this hotel are in a large wooden house, with ant nest rooms on both sides of the narrow corridor. The room was very small, and the bathroom was closed with a simple curtain. Nice place with comun areas and complete kitchen for cooking whatever you need, in a charming town.
It was an unmanned hotel; when I arrived around 7 PM, no one answered the door (there was no notice on the door). Other guests told me I had to go to "Hotel Framtid" on the street to get the key. The room was fairly comfortable, and the living room and kitchen doors were large.
The hostel is well-equipped, with spacious and adequate rooms. The kitchen is very complete, and the common areas are pleasant. Parking is free and easily accessible. The bathroom could be improved; the entire floor was wet. The fire alarm went off almost at midnight, which wasn't very pleasant. Check-in was convenient.
Noisy when we have to share the kitchen and dining room with an italian group.
Clean with lots of space in rooms and common areas. Kitchen had multiple stoves, ovens, sinks, ketles, etc. for all. Sitting area was jice and had a foosball table, which was nice. Oveall great place for our family.
Would stay again if we come back to iceland. Big kitchen, Big lounge area, large rooms. Comfertable big beds and a nice small town feeling

Great experience and lovely views Great sleeping barrels with very clean shower and toilet facilities on a side. Additional water access on a side too. Lovely little town.
Not your normal stay.. We like novelty stays and camping and this fit both in a country we never thought we would visit. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The communal facilities were spotlessly clean for a campsite and the accommodations were amazing. Thanks for the memory
The service staff in the hotel are very friendly and the prices in the restaurant are very reasonable. The room in the camping area has a comfortable temperature and the bed is very comfortable, but the space is a bit insufficient and not suitable for luggage. The bathroom and toilet are outside but it's warm and not cold at all.
Quaint but well constructed unique living quarters. fun and comfortable
Cute barrel Great stay and a unique place to spend the night.
A quirky structure and great for a unique experience but also actually really cosy inside with wooden curved walls. Three beds, table and chairs, heater and a shower block nearby. Situation is in the heart of town. Great fun and really sweet to stay in.

It was a beautiful environment! The mountains and the stream and the waterfall. Beautiful. A cosy little cabin with two bedrooms. We could cosy up on the couch as well and watch a movie.
This accommodation was so worth our money. I think if you’re missing out a cottage experience in Iceland, you haven’t travelled Iceland properly. The view is amazing from the cottage! Cottages need to be just assigned by the numbers. 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each and a sofa that pulls out to a double bed. Very cute cottages. They have signs for different sights to see in the area. The view from the cottage was beautiful. They have a restaurant but it closes in August.
Stunning location and scenery all around, but very pricey. Stayed only for 1 night, but the drive to and out of the cottage was spectacular. Barn restaurant only option for food.

Spent a night here on our Ring Road trip around Iceland. Lovely family run farm that has a guest house for travelers as well as Icelandic horse riding tours. Very quaint, comfortable and cozy hotel. It is modest but with an old-school Icelandic taste. We had all we needed for a good stay. Our windows faced beautiful mountains and the area itself is a small charming fishing town.
It was easy to find, cozy and quiet.
The house is on the roadside and is very easy to find. I live on the second floor and it is very inconvenient to carry my luggage. The room is very dark.
The best restaurant in the town! If you miss some Asian food or want something different from burger and pizza, this is your best choice, a 3mix Thai dishes. It has salad, spring rolls, fried shrimps(a lot), fried chicken noodle(which I found the best), rice and two sauces. Totally cost only 2900kr, which can fully comfort your stomach by the Thai chef here. I will definitely come again🥰🥰😋 P.s. free...
This is only about the restaurant: food and service was amazing!!! They saved us from going hungry after the other restaurants in town ran out of food. They even stayed open later just to accommodate us. Takk!!!

It's a student dorm but in the summer it's a hotel. Therefore the rooms are not super cosy, but it's okay and clean. All rooms have a great view onto the fjord! Breakfast was great! And you can make your own waffles! 😍

Cliff hotel in the town of Neskaupstadur ( hope spelling is correct ) has great view with fiord view from the window - Wi-Fi is good and rooms are clean. There is a pool table in the common area and few other games. Hotel is used to hosts student exchange programs from Europe that works locally in some businesses. For example the hotel receptionist was one of them. Great breakfast!!!
The hotel is at a nice location. Very nice views from the room and the dining room. Breakfast buffet is included and is basic but good. Room is comfy with basic furniture. If nobody is at the reception, they usually leave sign to come and get them either from the dining area or call. There is snooker and table tennis available as well. Lobby also has some great views. We enjoyed our stay.
Spectacular view of the fjörd from my room (even saw seals!), great breakfast, and clean and comfy room. We were very happy with our stay 😊

Awesome place for camping. We had no problem finding a spot as there were almost no people there. Nice hot showers. Clean toilets. Friendly staff. Would go there anytime again. Price 1x adult was 1500.00 ISK
We spent the night in the camping site. Very private with extremely clean toillets and showers. The showers had shampoo and included towels for your feet. Best campsite so far (albeit humble)
Very nice camping. The owner is so nice and pleasant! There are a little bit more private places for your camper, also open spaces if you like camping in a group. It is quiet and cozy. Very nice full service hotel. The concierge was very helpful in giving us advice on the Oxi pass (which was an easy drive in late September). Breakfast was a feast compared to other places. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend!
On the way to the hotel, we were still concerned about the facilities since it’s in the middle of Iceland. However, once we arrived, we felt quite comfortable. The room was spacious, and the view from the canteen during breakfast was especially beautiful!
The hotel was very quiet. There’s an outdoor hot tub that is wonderful. The breakfast buffet had tons of options.
A very nice hotel at Lake Mývatn - the grounds are lovely, the room was comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were fantastic and helpful!
I really enjoyed my stay here for one night! It’s in a forest which was a cool location and close to Hengifoss. Check in was easy, breakfast was good and the views were lovely. I recommend!
Nice stay. Beautiful rural setting, very tranquil. Outdoor hot tub was great, breakfast was above average and included in the room price.
