Location of hotel was good. Lovely breakfast, the best SKYR we have had. Freshly made smoothies every morning.
Really good value for money (in comparison with other Icelandic Hotels we have stayed in). Clean rooms with big, clean bathrooms. WIFI working really well.
One of the best equipped hotels we stayed at in Iceland. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast spread was amazing.
This is an ok place. Clean and a good breakfast. There are a lot of stairs. There is not very much around this area. It is pretty remote.
Great thick drapes even during the summer solstice we were able to keep the room nice and dark. Conveniently located directly across from the only supermarket in town. If you’re looking to stay in this area in Iceland just stay here you won’t be let down. Our room came with a balcony and the view was amazing. Manager Sophia was fantastic!
We booked a double Room with Private Bathroom and stayed for 1 night after a long day exploring the Eastern Coast of Iceland. We were quite stressed to arrive at the hotel before the end of the check-in time, stated as 10pm. During Summer in Iceland, it never really gets dark, and we wanted to see as much as we could before our arrival at Fjardabyggd. Anyway, we arrived around 7pm and were greeted...

Outdated hotel. Poor beds and basic breakfast. Was only for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer than that. To expensive for what you're getting.
Hotel is quite good, but the city isn 't.
Food, amazing, hotelier(Sandra) a lovely woman, very accommodating, rooms very nice
Great place! Owners are very friendly and helpful! Wish I would have planned more time in this town because the people are so nice! Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and comfortable.

Clean room, and comfortable bed. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming: tang instead of orange juice, and processed cheese slices instead of real cheese. But it was a comfortable stay.
Except Studio 22, this Town is amazing For the amount paid, this was not worth it. Its a very rundown property on a road. If you dont care about where u r sleeping for the night than this is the property for that purpose. The Property Manager was a great guy though.
The overall environment of the hotel is good, suitable as a base for Iceland's island tour. The rooms are simple and even a bit shabby, and the reception is not in the hotel, so the value for money is not very good. However, this one-story bungalow-style hotel is really suitable for chasing the northern lights.
These units look like self-storage units at first glance, but they are actually very nicely done. Check in information was to be provided the day before via email (room number and key code), but that did not arrive. However, we were able to reach the manager by phone and obtain that info. Similarly, a free breakfast was available "off site," but we had to call again to get that location. Breakfast...
Great spot! Perfect hotel experience! Unique character with great ocation. Staff was warm and genuinely friendly. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Amazing breakfast and very good dinner options Will definitely return!
The space is not small, but the bathroom has poor ventilation and some smell.

Our stay at Skorrahestar was absolutely fantastic. The most authentic experience we had in Iceland. The hosts are a super nice and welcoming family and the breakfast with homemade bread is just great. The horseback tour with Doddi was my favorite moment of our ENTIRE Iceland trip. He's an amazing horseman and a great person, he took me on a crazy tour among the fjord places telling stories and local...
So much fun, going horseback riding with these folks is one of the highlights of our whole trip to Iceland. So kind and patient and horses are so friendly. In the most beautiful valley and home makes you want to just keep staying here. Highly recommend :)
This was one of the greatest highlights of our ENTIRE Ring Road journey! A family farm with a super knowledgeable father, wife, and daughter! You will learn all about Icelandic horses, ride them, and see some of the most beautiful terrain the Eastern Fjords has to offer. They make you feel like family and it was just epic for our journey around Iceland!!
Skorrahestar is an absolute dream. It is a beautiful property run by a beautiful and warm family. We chose this place initially for an Icelandic horse ride and took away so much more. The ride itself was incredible, from the carefully chosen horses to the amazing scenery and warm and knowledgeable family who guided us, everything was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and the visit...
We initially chose this place because we wanted to rest for a few days in an Icelandic farm, and have the chance to go horse riding. What we had in the end is so much more. Our stay here is definitely one of the best memories we have of our journeys around Iceland. First of all, the hospitality of Doddi and Thea was outstanding, they welcomed us like we were part of the family, and told us stories...
Staying here was unexpectedly lovely. We were on our way south and we were booked for two nights here by Hey Iceland. We had been driving more or less four hours everyday so having two nights booked here gave us a chance to slow down and relax which is exactly what we did, although we did think there was another reason that we had two nights booked here. We had lovely breakfasts chatting with Doddi...

A small and homey hotel, located in a little town at the far East Coast of Iceland. Clean and comfortable enough. The owner is nice and helpful if you need ideas to get a tour in that zone and he gives good advices about the life in the island. The room's window gave us a great and nice view.
I really liked this place. It was clean, and very homey. We spent time with the owner. He told us stories about life in Iceland on a fishing boat. The room had a large window over the bed overlooking the fiord. The bathroom was clean. This is not a large chain place. It is a nice, quaint place to spend the night on the far eastern side of Iceland.
The breakfast is unexpectedly good using fish netting from the fjord, with dessert even. The owner was nice and friendly, we checked in at kl22 after a long day. Rooms at ground have to share bathroom though. Overall it's recommended

Very nice hotel, had the most comfortable beds during our trip in Iceland. The owner was very helpful in suggesting attractions and dining options nearby
Clean bathroom, soft beds, and a fabulous view of the mountains. Hotel owner was friendly and even stayed up past the usual desk hours as we were running late. Breakfast included.

Quaint and historic . Lovely position on the fjord
This hotel was incredibly charming. The largest rooms in any hotel we stayed at on the island. The food was incredible. The service in the restaurant was incredible, as well as the service in the hotel. If you from the hotel is beautiful, and the location is very good.
Everything was fine. Very nice rooms and kind service. Beautifly located hotel. We came very late and couldn't find a parking spot but maybe it was just us. Worth recommending for sure.
Great location- but a few things that need working: - WiFi was very poor connectivity -TV was hardly working with any channels. - washroom sink is very small Everything closes early here and food selections are horrible. I am travelling with a 7 year old and not a great place to stay.
Very large very modern hotel, nice room size and good views at front of hotel. Dining room a nightmare very very crowded at breakfast with tables crammed together. Food choices very good. Booked a table for dinner but had to leave before eating due to horrendous overcrowding. Bar area downstairs very much quieter and bar snacks ok.
Great location on the water in a fjord. Friendly staff at reception and restaurant. The restaurant menu is limited. I didn't care for the fish and potatoes I ordered. It was drenched in a sauce I didn't care for. My husband had beef that was good. The room was nice. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working while we were there. There also is an issue of not knowing where to park. The hotel is spread...

Superb location at the end of not so superb road... Especially during the rain it could be a challenge... But the rooms are clean, kitchen is well equiped... Just don't forget to bring your own food cause there is no store around... Overally very cheap accomandation one hourish from the ferry port
Small hostel located at the end of a fjord accessible only with a 4x4. Very good value for money, common room with kitchen, utensils, fridge and very cozy sofa, clean toilets and showers. I recommend !
Very nice locals and chocolate cake was delicious
Very clean and quiet. The road leading to the guesthouse has some amazing views. Perfect place to end the day after all the driving and sight seeing. + Shared kitchen with everything you need. + Clean rooms. + Mini shop for snacks. + Board games and LEGOs for kids.
Breath taking a must see, great place to stay

Cliff hotel in the town of Neskaupstadur ( hope spelling is correct ) has great view with fiord view from the window - Wi-Fi is good and rooms are clean. There is a pool table in the common area and few other games. Hotel is used to hosts student exchange programs from Europe that works locally in some businesses. For example the hotel receptionist was one of them. Great breakfast!!!
The hotel is at a nice location. Very nice views from the room and the dining room. Breakfast buffet is included and is basic but good. Room is comfy with basic furniture. If nobody is at the reception, they usually leave sign to come and get them either from the dining area or call. There is snooker and table tennis available as well. Lobby also has some great views. We enjoyed our stay.
Spectacular view of the fjörd from my room (even saw seals!), great breakfast, and clean and comfy room. We were very happy with our stay 😊

It's a student dorm but in the summer it's a hotel. Therefore the rooms are not super cosy, but it's okay and clean. All rooms have a great view onto the fjord! Breakfast was great! And you can make your own waffles! 😍

This is a very special hostel with a warm family vibe. It's just walking distance away from the rainbow walk and makes a good stop for the ring road trip.
We got a room with private bathroom. The room was spacious and the bed was decent. The bathroom was poorly designed - specifically the sink had a ledge over it which prevented anyone from being able to wash their face properly. The bathroom had no body wash, shampoo, conditioner or body soap.
The accommodations and staff and services are amazing. We loved the sauna and getting some laundry in. Cheap coffee with refills in the am. Nice kitchen with room for several small groups. Right downtown, we walked to the best restaurant we went to in Iceland. 4 not 5 stars because the building and doors cannot prevent the noise of larger groups or even the wind from waking you up.
5 star hostel with sauna and an amazing kitchen. The room is very confortable. Good location. Excellent price/quality.
This place was so unique and interesting! We loved it. It has a nice kitchen and the opportunity to do laundry. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a sauna downstairs.
Best hostel ever! All the facilities and care taken really show. A beautiful hostel in a beautiful town. Theres even a sauna. ?

It was a really nice experience ! We had a bedroom with two separate beds, it was spacious and comfy. The building looked so cute and the same goes for the neighbourhood !! We had a really nice time !
We just had cod and fish and chips! So good! And a really pretty view. Go during lunch and it's buy 1 get 1 free main dish. We saved $30!
Went to the restaurant for some hot chocolate and dinner - totally delicious, and super nice staff. Hot chocolate was 600 ISK and dinner about 3000 ISK per person (just main, no drinks or anything). Also, free wifi!
Aldan hotel is also a very nice café with a delicious brunch proposal, in a very traditionally and subtle inner design. A really peaceful place, perfect for a start when arriving in Iceland from the Nörrona ferry.

Nice hotel close to the lake. Rooms are clean and breakfast is abundant and delicious.
Loved this hotel! Very spacious family room with the most amazing view over the bay. Excellent beds. One double bed in a very cute alcove, extra dark for the long daylight nights in Iceland. Small fridge with bottles of water. The combination of modern comforts and picturesque touches of past times. From here we made some beautiful hikes and enjoyed our meals and the best breakfast in all of Iceland...
My whole group loved this hotel! The room was amazing and Seyðisfjörður is possibly the cutest, most picturesque town I've ever visited in my life. Only wish we had had more time and been able to stay an extra night. The hotel is right on the fjord, so beautiful views, and the breakfast offered in the main building down the street was very good. I would definitely stay here again!

A most beautiful location. The site was renovated and felt homey with all of the amenities we needed for a one night stay.
This is a little gem of a guesthouse located right on the Rainbow Road! Easiest check-in and check-out we've ever experienced. Rooms are very nicely decorated and quite big. Try to get a bay-facing room with a balcony, but even the street facing side will not disappoint. Everything was clean and well-kept. The bathroom had great amenities and heated floors!
