Outdated hotel. Poor beds and basic breakfast. Was only for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer than that. To expensive for what you're getting.
Hotel is quite good, but the city isn 't.
Food, amazing, hotelier(Sandra) a lovely woman, very accommodating, rooms very nice
Great place! Owners are very friendly and helpful! Wish I would have planned more time in this town because the people are so nice! Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and comfortable.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at the Taergesen restaurant. The cook and owner of this restaurant, the Blue Fox pub, the motel, and a nearby hotel. She is amazing. This is the site of the story line of the series Fortitude.
We arrived late and hungry and they were kind enough to let us eat and stay as long as we wanted. The owner was very friendly and charismatic and we felt right at home! The food was very nice and we tried their own beer which was really good. Would definitely recommend - skål from Denmark!
We had some car trouble and got in quite late. We appreciated the kindness we received when we did finally make it. We also appreciated the free breakfast that came with the room. Thank you!
The room was big and confortable, you could park de car in front of the door. Breakfast included was basic but you had a bit of everything. The restaurant of the B&B was really good quality, food was delicious. Staff was super friendly. I totally recommend staying here.

Probably the most beautiful guesthouse in Iceland. Thank you for the nice stay.
Best possible accommodation in Iceland! TOP!!
Really nice place. Luxurious rooms, great food, hot tub in the yard and friendly staff. It was the most expensive guesthouse we visited in Iceland, but it was worth it.

Location of hotel was good. Lovely breakfast, the best SKYR we have had. Freshly made smoothies every morning.
Really good value for money (in comparison with other Icelandic Hotels we have stayed in). Clean rooms with big, clean bathrooms. WIFI working really well.
One of the best equipped hotels we stayed at in Iceland. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast spread was amazing.
This is an ok place. Clean and a good breakfast. There are a lot of stairs. There is not very much around this area. It is pretty remote.
Great thick drapes even during the summer solstice we were able to keep the room nice and dark. Conveniently located directly across from the only supermarket in town. If you’re looking to stay in this area in Iceland just stay here you won’t be let down. Our room came with a balcony and the view was amazing. Manager Sophia was fantastic!
We booked a double Room with Private Bathroom and stayed for 1 night after a long day exploring the Eastern Coast of Iceland. We were quite stressed to arrive at the hotel before the end of the check-in time, stated as 10pm. During Summer in Iceland, it never really gets dark, and we wanted to see as much as we could before our arrival at Fjardabyggd. Anyway, we arrived around 7pm and were greeted...

A small and homey hotel, located in a little town at the far East Coast of Iceland. Clean and comfortable enough. The owner is nice and helpful if you need ideas to get a tour in that zone and he gives good advices about the life in the island. The room's window gave us a great and nice view.
I really liked this place. It was clean, and very homey. We spent time with the owner. He told us stories about life in Iceland on a fishing boat. The room had a large window over the bed overlooking the fiord. The bathroom was clean. This is not a large chain place. It is a nice, quaint place to spend the night on the far eastern side of Iceland.
The breakfast is unexpectedly good using fish netting from the fjord, with dessert even. The owner was nice and friendly, we checked in at kl22 after a long day. Rooms at ground have to share bathroom though. Overall it's recommended

Quaint and historic . Lovely position on the fjord
This hotel was incredibly charming. The largest rooms in any hotel we stayed at on the island. The food was incredible. The service in the restaurant was incredible, as well as the service in the hotel. If you from the hotel is beautiful, and the location is very good.
Everything was fine. Very nice rooms and kind service. Beautifly located hotel. We came very late and couldn't find a parking spot but maybe it was just us. Worth recommending for sure.
Great location- but a few things that need working: - WiFi was very poor connectivity -TV was hardly working with any channels. - washroom sink is very small Everything closes early here and food selections are horrible. I am travelling with a 7 year old and not a great place to stay.
Very large very modern hotel, nice room size and good views at front of hotel. Dining room a nightmare very very crowded at breakfast with tables crammed together. Food choices very good. Booked a table for dinner but had to leave before eating due to horrendous overcrowding. Bar area downstairs very much quieter and bar snacks ok.
Great location on the water in a fjord. Friendly staff at reception and restaurant. The restaurant menu is limited. I didn't care for the fish and potatoes I ordered. It was drenched in a sauce I didn't care for. My husband had beef that was good. The room was nice. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working while we were there. There also is an issue of not knowing where to park. The hotel is spread...

I booked this cabin last minute on a solo road trip due to being unhappy with the hostel I had booked. It is out of the way and the drive to get there is about 15 minutes from town. I asked her about grocery nearby but they were already closed, and she offered to bring me some food which I declined but I...
Awesome place for camping. We had no problem finding a spot as there were almost no people there. Nice hot showers. Clean toilets. Friendly staff. Would go there anytime again. Price 1x adult was 1500.00 ISK
We spent the night in the camping site. Very private with extremely clean toillets and showers. The showers had shampoo and included towels for your feet. Best campsite so far (albeit humble)
Very nice camping. The owner is so nice and pleasant! There are a little bit more private places for your camper, also open spaces if you like camping in a group. It is quiet and cozy. There are 3 toilets and 2 showers, which are very clean and even has soap, shampoo, shower gel and they are trying a new system, where you can use small towels to stand on after shower, to not stand on the same wet...
We stayed in a cabin complete with bathroom and kitchenette. The cabin was comfortable and spacious for 2, with everything you need (except no coffee machine, but there was instant coffee), and very cute. The property was lovely, with a good sized room. There is a lovely walking path around the property that I highly recommended! The included breakfast was tasty and well balanced with many options as well.
Surprisingly clean in the room and shared bathroom areas. There is a shared lounge area where you have access to hot water and utensils for meals. Staff were welcoming and breakfast had the standard Icelandic options.
This place is super clean and neat. I loved the breakfast. The view is amazing! I’ll definitely recommend this place.
This is the most cost-effective hotel along the way. It is about 10 minutes' drive from the town. The room is very clean, the mountain view opposite is very beautiful, and there is breakfast. Although there are not many types, it is enough. The public bath and toilet are not crowded. Overall, I am satisfied

So much fun, going horseback riding with these folks is one of the highlights of our whole trip to Iceland. So kind and patient and horses are so friendly. In the most beautiful valley and home makes you want to just keep staying here. Highly recommend :)

Skorrahestar is an absolute dream. It is a beautiful property run by a beautiful and warm family. We chose this place initially for an Icelandic horse ride and took away so much more. Staying here was unexpectedly lovely. We were on our way south and we were booked for two nights here by Hey Iceland. Booked it in the last minute and glad we got this property It’s a must visit and I would come back again
This hotel is very suitable for vacation and leisure. It is located in a forest. The front desk drove a golf cart to deliver our luggage to the door of the room. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Egilsstadt. The breakfast is average with few options. The dinner is okay, but the steak is too old. The chef came out to greet us personally and replaced it with cod according to our request.
There's a lake next to it, but the view is average. There's no kettle, so you have to go to the front desk to get water, just like in college, and you have to walk outside to get to the front desk. The bed is small.
There are very few things in the room, no kettle

Older hotel with friendly staff in quiet area. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable.
Eric at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi and sauna are a good addition. It has a cost but worth it after long hours of driving. I would recommend the place. Basic room, no tea or coffee in the room which would have been nice. There is a kettle though. Just plan ahead. Overall a good experience.
The staff, especially the gentleman at the front desk worked very hard to make sure the guests had a good experience. The hot tub and sauna were great.
Hotel a few km from Breiðdalsvík, located in a quiet place, the structure is old but typical and well maintained. The room was clean and welcoming. As a place to pass through and to spend a night it is more than good

The bathrooms are very clean and spacious. The common area/kitchen is large and very nice! We stayed in the junior double room. this place was nice, I even got upgraded and sent to a nice room across the street in their sister guest house. However I was situated directly opposite the bathroom, where other guests were in and out of throughout the night and other guests were talking and I could hear them. I had a bad sleep and it was ashame as I had to drive quite far the next day. I wouldn't stay here again for this reason.
Clean and quiet. Kitchen is available with coffee but bring your own cream or milk as none was available when we were there. Overall great for a nights stay.
Nice, clean and pleasant guest house (operated by sister guest house across the street). Large common area and well-equipped kitchen. Located above the post office in the sleepy town of Egilstadir, where there's no town center or restaurants of note, it serves as an excellent stopover between the southeast and north of the country.

This is a very special hostel with a warm family vibe. It's just walking distance away from the rainbow walk and makes a good stop for the ring road trip.
We got a room with private bathroom. The room was spacious and the bed was decent. The bathroom was poorly designed - specifically the sink had a ledge over it which prevented anyone from being able to wash their face properly. The bathroom had no body wash, shampoo, conditioner or body soap.
The accommodations and staff and services are amazing. We loved the sauna and getting some laundry in. Cheap coffee with refills in the am. Nice kitchen with room for several small groups. Right downtown, we walked to the best restaurant we went to in Iceland. 4 not 5 stars because the building and doors cannot prevent the noise of larger groups or even the wind from waking you up.
5 star hostel with sauna and an amazing kitchen. The room is very confortable. Good location. Excellent price/quality.
