I recently had the pleasure of staying at Seydisfjördur Guesthouse, and it was an outstanding experience!
The guesthouse is located in a picturesque setting in West fjords that perfectly captures the charm of Iceland
They were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations, which truly enhanced our stay. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident and much appreciated
Comfy and warm guesthouse. Host is very friendly & helpful. Located at quiet and serenity area. Walking distance to a waterfall place. Snow mountain can be seen clearly from our room.
Staff was very helpful and nice, the hotel equipped with laundry service. Location is perfect and the room is just renovated, clean and kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommended
Comfortable, warm, and hospitable hotel. Staff are friendly and very helpful and when I needed to print a document. Spacious kitchen and we enjoyed the free hot chocolates!
The shared amenities were fantastic, especially the fully equipped kitchen. It made self-catering breakfast a breeze and allowed us to enjoy our meals in a relaxed setting

We had room with balcony and sea view overlooking the lagoon, though weather very wet and windy whilst we were there so didn’t get the most out of these. Host very helpful, and several options for eating in the town
She accommodated our late arrival and she went out of her way to let us know before we left that a portion of Ring Road had been washed out overnight by a storm, which made it impossible to get to our next destination
Her kindness in letting us know gave us a chance to head back north around Ring Road to make sure that we made it back to Reykjavik in time for our flight. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit
When you arrive, the owner will leave the key at the door and you can take it according to your name. The famous Rainbow Road is right at the door and there are restaurants next to it, which is very convenient
It was here that we caught the Northern Lights. The staff at the restaurant next door suggested that we drive the car a little further out so that it would be easier to see without the lights
Lovely place. Quiet and quaint. We didn’t meet any staff as the keys were left in an envelope. We didn’t have any issues. The room was clean and appreciated the coffee maker/pods.

We arrived in the evening and we had no problem getting our key from the lockbox. The access was very clean and our room had a nice view of the waterfall in the distance
The rooms are spacious and quiet and we did not hear any of the other guests all night. Parking is no problem and there is a convenient gas station next door
The location is great, but the guesthouse itself is very small and not suitable for a stove in the middle, as the Chinese were frying fish for an hour, and our entire room was filled with a terrible smell
We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable
Convenient to restaurants and shops in town. "Filling Station" restaurant next door looked great in photos, but closed for family trip when we were there. Kitchenette available for guests
The kitchen facility was clean and handy for making a quick meal or tea. The rooms are clean and updated. The beds were comfortable and the location is near to shopping and food

Don't let the exterior fool you, it is very nice inside
The room was on the small side but it was adequate for our needs, and there was a pleasant shared area where one could sit to read. That area also had a kitchen that guests could use
On our second and third mornings, when the hostess wasn’t as busy with cleaning rooms, she made us cooked eggs. The entire property was clean, and the shower in our private bathroom was more spacious than some we’ve seen
The "city" is a very small town with not more than 40 houses. It is a 20 minute slow walking. Maybe freezing in onother season but perfect in August. Low price and honest room, bathroom, Kitchen
We even had the choice between a room with double bed and view to the mountains or a room with two beds and view to the sea. It is possible to have breakfast but we didn't
It is built in a refurbished fish cannery, so the exterior is industrial--complete with derelict machinery--but the rooms are delightful. Clean, well-furnished, comfortable, and spacious

The Hostel is a very nice, charming place. It has a great, well equipped kitchen and a nice dining room. The rooms are very clean, but a little alert. Thomas and the nice young woman are very kind and helpful
We were 4 friends and shared a family room. The room was enough for us and was also clean. The shared kitchen and bathrooms were used by all guests and although there were so many people, it was always clean
Great little place to stay - felt at home and had everything we needed. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights here - a dream come true for me! Friendly folks as well :) totally recommend
Stayed here for the third time and was not disappointed. The place is so warm and inviting, and the complementary sauna in the basement (which has been added since I was last there) is amazing
This place was so unique and interesting!
We loved it. It has a nice kitchen and the opportunity to do laundry.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a sauna downstairs.
Great facilities, the hostel is clean and the kitchen well équipes and spacious.
Downstairs the sauna and shower are perfect. One of the best hostels in Iceland!

We went there for "winter service" - they don't serve the full menu during the bottom of the season (and in general, if you are braving the winter season in Iceland expect most of the restaurants to be either closed or in winter-mode), but boy oh boy, were we in for a treat
Frankly, I wasn’t expecting much from a restaurant located right off a hotel reception area. However, to my surprise, the entire dish was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender and flavorful
Cozy, warm (we were there in the middle of winter), washer & dryer, good internet connection (>100mbps), fjord and mountain views. It was spotless clean and we were able to get a very early check in
The Aldan restaurant serves as the headquarters for the 3-house hotel. Neat and clean, the restaurant is staffed by beautiful Nordic goddesses who are as friendly and cheerful as they are helpful
The custard had just the right thickness, the sugar topping was caramelized to a perfect golden crunch, and the rhubarb integrated into the custard provided a bright, balanced flavor
My server, Cristina from Spain, was funny, friendly, and extremely helpful when it came time to choose from my options. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée, which was also excellent
