Rooms are small, but the community kitchen was nice and it was located near local restaurants. The views around this area of the mountains and waterfalls is stunning!!

This property is located in a quiet place. We drove into a parking lot labelled with the name only to discover that registration was half a block back. Other guests helped direct us where to go. The hotel looked liked it needed a coat of paint but inside it was a spacious set of rooms. The room is sufficient for laying your head down but is much too tiny without enough room to open luggage. It is clean and has a cute communal kitchen but should be advertised as a rooming house or hostel in my opinion.

The hotel is located in a cute lake town. The building used to be a post office that turned into hotel. Based on the pictures provided by *******, I chose the least expensive room as I couldn't see much difference between the rooms. That was a mistake. We couldn't fit our suitcase in the room. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything was perfectly adequate and the hotel was in a great spot near most of what the town has to offer. I would stay here again :)

Right next to the water. The town is quiet but very beautiful. Their buildings may look old on the outside but they’re definitely clean and well-maintained inside. Their restaurant serves very good food.

What an awesome place this is -- both the hotel and the restaurant. We stayed in one of the apartments - #302 (which is not in the main building -- its a separate building in the harbor). Cozy, warm (we were there in the middle of winter), washer & dryer, good internet connection (>100mbps), fjord and mountain views. It was spotless clean and we were able to get a very early check in. The Aldan restaurant serves as the headquarters for the 3-house hotel. Neat and clean, the restaurant is staffed by beautiful Nordic goddesses who are as friendly and cheerful as they are helpful. We enjoyed an amazing supper here for our 10th anniversary celebration. The whole town is beautiful, and this restaurant was a highlight of our time here. Nice setting, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food! It is definitely meant for the experience of dining, and it was approximately two hours from entering and to leaving, but it was well worth it. Our group was divided into super nice cottages of this hotel. We, being 4 people, received a very big and nice apartment, fully equipped, we were pleasantly surprised. And the breakfast was good, quite varied. I recommend!

Room is great. We had the whole house to ourselves. Check in was a bit confusing at first but was able to figure it out eventually. Nice place to stay in to experience a local housing. We had a nice view of the church just beside the house. We paid for breakfast. The spread was ok and the lady serving us was nice. Made us hot chocolate and espresso 😊

Nice little hotel marvelously kept. Impeccable, cosy, in the heart of tiny port. A different experience we enjoyed immensely.

The check in at the main area was very easy. The room was spacious and homey. The bathroom floors were heated and the shower was amazing. We really liked the small feel of the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t included but was reasonably priced and delicious!

This was a great place. It was very clean, nice looking, comfortable, well thought out, and the restaurant that goes with it was fantastic.

Convenient to restaurants and shops in town. "Filling Station" restaurant next door looked great in photos, but closed for family trip when we were there. Kitchenette available for guests. No host, but key code sent by email for lockbox. Large room.

We arrived in the evening and we had no problem getting our key from the lockbox. The access was very clean and our room had a nice view of the waterfall in the distance. The rooms are spacious and quiet and we did not hear any of the other guests all night. Parking is no problem and there is a convenient gas station next door.

The location is great, but the guesthouse itself is very small and not suitable for a stove in the middle, as the Chinese were frying fish for an hour, and our entire room was filled with a terrible smell. My husband threw up from it; the smell was unbearable. In such a small house, the only thing you can leave is a microwave.

The kitchen facility was clean and handy for making a quick meal or tea. The rooms are clean and updated. The beds were comfortable and the location is near to shopping and food. This has e writhing you need for an overnight stay like ours, or for a couple of days if you are making day trips from this area.

It's an acceptable place for staying one night but nothing charming about it. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. There is one shared kitchen which is too small for all the rooms and was crowded at dinner time. It has a very small dishwasher to leave the dirty dishes in, but in the morning was full and running so all the dishes were laying dirty in the kitchen sink.

Maggy was incredibly helpful. She accommodated our late arrival and she went out of her way to let us know before we left that a portion of Ring Road had been washed out overnight by a storm, which made it impossible to get to our next destination. Her kindness in letting us know gave us a chance to head back north around Ring Road to make sure that we made it back to Reykjavik in time for our flight...

Lovely place. Quiet and quaint. We didn’t meet any staff as the keys were left in an envelope. We didn’t have any issues. The room was clean and appreciated the coffee maker/pods.

A nice & good accommodation. Great location, just next to lake and Seyðisfjarðarkirkja Church & rainbow street. Highly recommended.

Guest house is lovely converted old building in the scenic small port of Seydisfjourdur. Room was very attractively furnished and very clean. We had room with balcony and sea view overlooking the lagoon, though weather very wet and windy whilst we were there so didn’t get the most out of these. This should be one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at during this trip. The stunning lake and mountain views are truly exceptional, and it's also conveniently close to the famous little church. It's a family hotel. When you arrive, the owner will leave the key at the door and you can take it according to your name. Didn’t stay at the hotel but stopped by for coffees to warm up on a few different days. Good music, comfortable, nice view from inside. We returned to the same spot as they had very large cups for the lattes and swiss mochas for the same price as elsewhere

Interesting idea to rebuild something like a boathouse into a guesthouse. There is a beautiful view to enjoy. The room is simple but provides all you need: sufficient power sockets, small bedside table, light and some coat hooks. There are paper thin walls so you can hear other guests. The guesthouse was nice. We had a private bedroom with private bathroom. The bathroom was clean but tiny. The room was comfortable. They have a kitchen where you can cook but you can’t cook after 10pm.

Great Guest house. The location was gorgeous and the owners were friendly and accomodating with us. They also provvide a big traditional breakfast the next morning.

Had a room with a double bed. Room was tiny. Bathroom had a horrible stench like the sewer system was backed up, stench spread throughout the hallway all day. The only good thing about this guesthouse was the amazing views and the bedding was very comfortable.

We were 4 friends and shared a family room. The room was enough for us and was also clean. The shared kitchen and bathrooms were used by all guests and although there were so many people, it was always clean. People show consideration for each other here. We liked the sauna. Only the rooms were a bit noisy, so you could often hear snoring from the other rooms.

I love Hafaldan hostel. Stayed here for the third time and was not disappointed. The place is so warm and inviting, and the complementary sauna in the basement (which has been added since I was last there) is amazing. Highly recommend.

The Hostel is a very nice, charming place. It has a great, well equipped kitchen and a nice dining room. The rooms are very clean, but a little alert. Thomas and the nice young woman are very kind and helpful. The guests are international and open minded. I am happy we habe been there.

This is a very special hostel with a warm family vibe. It's just walking distance away from the rainbow walk and makes a good stop for the ring road trip.

We got a room with private bathroom. The room was spacious and the bed was decent. The bathroom was poorly designed - specifically the sink had a ledge over it which prevented anyone from being able to wash their face properly. The bathroom had no body wash, shampoo, conditioner or body soap.
