A beautiful apartment smack in the middle of Akureyri. 4 minute walk to the town center and restaurants. Simple street parking near the house. Easy check-in with a key code. The interior has nice design elements and furniture and it feels like a real home. Will stay again!

My favorite guesthouse in my travel in Iceland. Very nice clean rooms with beautiful vintage furniture. Very comfortable large bed. Big windows with views of the fjords. No reception, you will get your keys in the entrance's hall. Clean shared bathrooms. In case you need to contact the staff you can use an interphone at the front door, otherwise you will have to walk 10 minutes to a nearby hotel of the same owners.

Fancy guesthouse. Furnished with a style. Very clean and tidy. And we had a kettle in the room. Convenient location near the city center. Our best guesthouse in Iceland so far!

A cozy place in a quiet location just a stone thrown away from the downtown. There are facilities for making tea and coffee, and a minibar. Very good for this type of accommodation. Very helpful and friendly owner, helped us out with a few things.

The most beautiful guesthouse! Our room (204) was spacious and decorated beautifully with a gorgeous headboard, comfy beds, a huge wardrobe, a velvet couch and chair, and table. The hallways and bathrooms were also gorgeous (loved the wall paper and carpeting). There was tea and coffee in the room and hallway (also a shelf outside our room with snacks). We had a nice view out our room and the house is steps from the city center. Ample free parking right in front of the house as well, which was convenient for us as we were driving ring road. There isn't really a reception, so it feels as though you are staying the night in someone's house / bed & breakfast. We loved it!

This place was a little more complicated for our stay. There's no reception on-site, so check-in was really complicated - so complicated, that I had to turn on my phone to call them about how we get inside. Once we got inside, it was a little humid inside the place. The room itself was a little small, but nice. Three twin beds, a couch, and an armchair. The bathroom was a shared bathroom with the rest of the hall, but since we were the only guests at the time, it was a non-issue. Not a bad stay, but getting in was a little complicated.

I've spent 3 nights at Akurinn and always so pleased. It is really close to downtown Akureyri and in a walking distance from so many sights. 😊 Some rooms have private bathrooms but some are shared. Some rooms have a sink, a desk, a chair, a wardrobe, but every room has a style of their own. I love that. 😊 The welcoming key folder is so nice. 😊 You get clean towels and a bathmat. You can buy breakfast, if you want. 😊
