Granastaðir Guesthouse

Beautiful scenery, nice owner clean and comfortable rooms with shared kitchen equipped and another kitchen in the room. We had a good time and enjoyed the waterfall with 2 comfortable chairs that the owner placed.

A veery cozy place in a beautiful surrounding. The rooms are newly made with a big love for details. The owner is very friendly and gives the guests a warm welcome. Behind the guest house is a beautiful waterfall that lulles you to sleep. There is a nice and nite shared kitchen that you can use and even in the rooms a small kitchen area. Far the best place we stayed in Iceland!!! Granastadir, definitely a place you should go an stay! 🥰

We booked on short notice. We were able to extend our booking by one night. The place is beautiful and relaxing. Tucked between Husavik and Akureyri. Both locations close by and there are many other attractions in the area. I recommend staying for more than a few nights if you want to enjoy the region and go back to a place to relax and unwind.

Truly amazing guest house. This guest house is just 7 kms off the route 1 and it’s worth the detour.
The location is fantastic and if the aurora is good - this is the best place to see northern lights. We did see them on Sep1.
Cleanliness - well so neat clean room and bathroom that it makes you feel wow.
Common kitchen has all the amenities. Amazing
Now coming to beds - very nice beds and comfortable beds.
Well the waterfall was visible right from our bedroom. Must stay for any#of nights. We stayed here for 1 night.

I can hardly imagine something better! Absolutely fantastic accomodation in breathtaking location - waterfalls and mountain like on the hand.

Very nice, clean and warm room (somebody wrote that there were cold - it has changend, we had to sleep with opened window) and hostess were so nice and kind, she gave us best tips for trip.
