Friendly staff, especially the young man with the scarf (he kindly knocked on all doors to inform that northern lights are visible), good breakfast, rooms are old but ok, shower wasnt clean and the water did run off very slow. Wifi was also very slow up to a point that it was unusable. I guess they have too small bandwith for the number of guests. Billiard table couldnt be used as some balls were missing. There was only one dining menu with either meat or fish. They didnt let you use the toaster or anything to eat your own food in case you dont like the one menu.

A bit run down in general, but still a comfortable stay.
Super friendly staff (from Lithuania) catered to our specific needs.
Dinner in the restaurant was OK and actually affordable.
Rooms were neat and clean. Same for the shared bathroom.

Best place we have stayed so far. Clean, friendly, really good supper and free breakfast. Waffles with homemade cream. Awsome showers. You are able to fill thermos with hot water. Bigger rooms. Pool table, music in back ground with sun pouring in front window. Nice spot

We had a really bad stay at this place, here are the reasons.
1. Firstly this place is in a remote place, the driving road is bad & full of mud, when you save money at the cost, you pay more than that on cleaning up the car!
2. The shared bathroom to room ratio is insane, for 2 floor, you have two bathroom,s we had to wit for hours & at the end we got a filthy wet bathroom. It was simply unusable.
3. The food charges are insane, but quality is bad.
4. At reception its written that they can give early breakfast if requested, when we requested we were asked to pay 1000ISK for that!!!!!
Finally we left the place as early as possible. Avoid this!!

The hotel was fun, close to some attractions. The bead and rooms were clean and the shared bathroom was clean as well. Hostess was polite and very nice.
It is a bit dated and retro but in our opinion it was a great stay. Would visit again .

While the location was beautiful, the accommodations were outdated, Spartan, and disappointing. The hotel would benefit from fresh paint in all the rooms, new linens, and cable management so that wires aren't dangling all over the place. Take note if you're in a rental car - This hotel is down about a 20km stretch of gravel road with potholes.
