Really lovely place, rooms were clean and cozy. Common area was well equipped with kitchen appliances and everything was spotless. Breakfast spread had a great variety. Unlike the other reviews, we did not face any issues with checking in.
No reception, no service or reply to emails, and in the middle of nowhere.
The room's are okay but motel standard, the bath to simple and the breakfast far from the concept of giving a good start to the day.
And as if this is not enough! There where a 'lounge' (visible from outside) but it was sealed of by a plant in front of the door - clearly stating "do not enter" - only the cat was allowed to use the nice furniture and the chess board 🤔
There are many other real hotels in the area so do yourself a favor and choose somewhere else.
The WiFi works in the main building, there are cool chairs with beautiful view. The rooms were clean, the furniture is a bit older but who cares.
We stayed here just for one night and it was a good choice on the way from Akureyri to West Fjords.
So don't worry about other references.
There were some flies in the room & small spider/bug in the bathroom.
The shower was good and had hot water, there were no problem with the toilet facility as well.
The bed and pillow were'nt that comfortable so we actually used our sleeping bags on the bed.
It wasn't as bad as the other reviews said, BUT it is too expensive and I won't recommend staying here.
