Byli jsme nadseni. Prijedem znova! Very good location. Professional staff. Reasonably sized room with private bathroom. Good roller blinds. Good internet. Large parking lot. All clean. This place is more suitable for travellers rather than to spoiled tourists. Why do you need TV in the room if you are on Iceland?!
We stayed there three noghts and we have absolutely nothing to complain about. The rooms are pretty and clean, the services absolutely fine and the receptionists are so nice and willing to help with or advise anything one might need.
is important to know this is a student dormitory converted to a hotel during the summer tourist months. That means sparse very basic accommodations that are not super cozy, very little decor, furniture that seems out of place in the foyer and other areas, no TV or amenities, tiny bathrooms, thin walls (you hear everyone else showering, moving around etc) and wifi that doesn’t work great, if at all...
Don’t take any notice of other reviews! Iceland accommodation is limited at best of times!! This is a very small town and I can promise for the price you will not be disappointed. It’s very modern, clean, staff super friendly 24hr receptionist. One of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in!! Stay here then go to the KK restaurant in town.
This summer hotel is a boarding school during the year. The essential is there and the staff is friendly.
This is a summer hotel and a school dorm in the winter.

Tremendous hotel! Magical. Lovely geothermal pool. Elegant dining in an epic restaurant setting. Wonderful classic old rooms. Helpful staff. Didn’t want to leave.
A lovely hotel, very comfortable, close to eateries and good position for walks etc. Good breakfast and the service was really good.
We are two couples traveling together in Iceland on the Ring Road. We absolutely loved this hotel. One of us was reminded of the old hotels in England he stayed in. The room was comfortable and clean. We loved the spa on the patio and we ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a great meal. They even had a vegan option (one of us is vegan) made with vegetables from Icelandic greenhouses. The beds...
Nice hotel Bathroom too cold; no floor heating Nice bedroom. Good breakfast
Beautiful discovery of this historic hotel in Saudarkrokur. Staff very attentive to their guests, impeccable breakfast in a beautiful restaurant room. Our Icelandic trip was even more beautiful thanks to this place. We will return.
We were on the 2nd floor of the annex, which required carrying our luggage up steep steps. The room itself had a lovely front view of the water and was quite spacious with a sitting room. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, the tv and WiFi worked perfectly and there was an easy to use espresso machine in the room as well as a selection of teas. The bathroom was an odd layout, very narrow with...

Loved that 5 couples could be in the house together
We had a wonderful evening watching and singing with the locals. Thank you very much! I love Iceland and its people. Fantastic evening!!!
Lovely house. Kitchen had basically everything. Owner dropped by to say quick hi. Was able to do laundry on our ring road trip. Area is also nice and beautiful around. Nice town and lovely bakery nearby
We popped in here for a few drinks after dinner and it was well worth it. The owner is sooo nice and helpful. Happy hour drinks from 8-9 were great value and lovely local craft beers on tap. Decor is very cute and cosy too. Seems to be very popular with the locals on Friday nights which is always a good sign! Overall great experience.
Firstly the owner is soo lovely! She lets you try the beers before you order them. Happy hour from 8pm - 9pm it is 2 for 1 and the beers are 1300 so it’s a great deal. All the beers are local craft beers and they are lovely!
We had a comfortable stay. The rooms are nice and there’s a shared kitchen. Don’t miss to have a local beer at their Bar downstairs!

A perfect place to stay! A lovely place :-:-)
One of the best guesthouses I've ever stayed. Super friendly staff and well equipped, clean, good looking accommodation.
After contacting me by e-mail, I was told that I could bring and store my luggage about three hours before check-in. When I arrived my room was ready and I was allowed in. That was really nice! The accommodation is modernly furnished and equipped. The kitchen is very new with an oven, microwave, Sense coffee machine including pads and refrigerator. There is a large dining table. Very nice Guesthouse. It's clean, cosy, modern and the price is fair. The kitchen is well equipped and has nice warm colours. Hosts were very nice and uncomplicated when I came back the same day after checking out due to a storm. I would go back anytime when I'm in the area again!

Welcoming host. Lots of room. Separate eating and kitchen area. Very clean. Lots of animals around. We enjoyed our stay.
The best family place we have stayed in while in Iceland. Hosts Gunna and Toti generously shared their morning dairy operation activities with our children and us. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, great communication from the hosts, incredible views into Keldudalur, and working-farm experience. The cottage was large and had great views (excellent new construction) and was our favorite stay while...
Wonderful cottages with an abundance of supplies provided such as salt, pepper and baking oil. The view is marvellous as the cottages are located isolated from the main roads. This is also a minor downside as it takes a while to go to any tourism spots. Would recommend.
It's a lovely place with lovely owners and two Icelandic sheepdogs which are extremely friendly. They have two guesthouses, one can be hired to two groups because the floors are completely separated with one entrance downstairs and one upstairs from the other side. Kolkuós is a great guest house! We would highly recommend it. And of course the history and story of saving the historical buildings only adds to the allure. Kolkuos would be great for travelers seeking peace and quiet, however, it is especially great for Bird Watchers given its location right on the estuary and the fjord. The free Bird Identification application Merlin (apps for Apple and Android...
Vaulgier, the owner, is a wonderful host. He takes time to enjoy the company of his guests, after he prepares a great breakfast! It is a remote, but stunning location, and his future plans for a spa will be a stellar addition! We will hopefully return.
We had some trepidation after booking this because of the limited information online and remote location. What a pleasant surprise. Comparable to a New England B&B, the guesthouse is clean, well maintained, and well appointed. The pictures online don’t do it justice. The location is stunning, at the end of a long dirt road, with the house situated on a remote beach on the fjord. Stay here if you can
A beautiful guest house in a beautiful location with an amiable and attentive host! What a great find! Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night on our tour around Iceland, but it was enough to appreciate how special this place is! And we saw the aurora borealis for the first time there! Excellent guesthouse with 5 rooms and 2 shared baths. Full kitchen facility and hot tub included. Horse back riding could be arranged. Breakfast was in refrigerator but it worked out well even with several people eating at same time. Room was comfortable and bath was good power and heat. WiFi worked well. Never met the owner but the setup was so good, didn't need to!
We LOVED our stay here. The place was so clean and we met wonderful people from Montreal. We made our dinner there and the place was well appointed for cooking from scratch. Very clean accommodation. 2 shared toilets/bathrooms that were big and clean. The kitchen is equipped with toaster and oven and a good variety of food for meals. Unfortunately, wifi did not work on the day we checked in. Staff took a while to come over to inspect the problem but could not resolve it.
I love the decor and the "spa" like feel of the room and bathroom. Very clean, easy to find, quiet location. What I didn't like is the fancy blinds I couldn't figure out and had to place pillows in the window to block out the light. I also had an embarrassing morning with breakfast. Other guesthouses label the guesthouse food so you know what you can or cannot use. And it is understood if something...
We loved staying at this property! The quietness was lovely. The fridge was stocked for breakfast which was appreciated and the hot tub was wonderful after many days of hikes. The only small issue was trying to contact the property. Nice size room right across from a store/cafe with a nice view out the window. Handy shared kitchen. Really nice restaurant (Retro Mathus) in the village. Nothing fancy, just clean, comfortable, and friendly. Parking right out front. Walking distance to nice pool. We were too tired to use it, but the site is spectacular.
Town is quite during winter, but location is perfect. Kitchen well equipped, and the staff is responsive and helpful in checkin.
Cute place with views of the water. Room was clean and kitchen had the basics for serving ourselves. It is directly across from a grocery & gas pump- very convenient!
It was comfortable and cozy but pretty much self service. I imagine if you needed something you could call a number.

The interior of our cottage was comfortable and full of amenities. And what really addedto the vibe was the hot tub in the center of the cottages. No luck with the northern lights due to clouds drifting in, but it was a lot of fun anyway.

It was a beautiful cottage with a river view. They had all the amenities we needed at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to families travelling with children.
Charming cabin within the sound of a rushing river. Peaceful despite being part of a larger campground, check in and out were very easy. We only stayed one night so did not get to use either the indoor sauna or back deck hot tub. A little tight for five adults, so if you stay longer than a night or two I don’t recommend a full complement of six.
Stayed at Gladheimar in one of the, one bedroom cabins. Great clean, comfortable and functional self catering facilities, with amenities within walking distance if required. Very helpful owner and Wifi within the cabin great as well, recommend a stay here if travelling in the area

The whole building smelled like bacon and the stairs where wobbly. The breakfast and the device was good.
There is not much to do at Blönduós. The apartment was a bit of a challenge to find. It was quite spacious offering a whole family room area. The Tv was a great size. The bathroom however was not very inviting with some mold in the shower and sink area. No recycle bin was available.

Beautiful property! We really enjoyed the dogs and horses, and taking a walk around the property. The hosts were wonderful, and gave us great advice on things to do while in Iceland.
This is a farm, far away from everything. So bring your own food and satellite dish for the evening hours (just a kitchen for your own food, wifi only in the shared room)... Or just concentrate on social activities (dogs, board games, looking for the northern lights, jacuzzi).
Nice place to stay. Clean rooms, a lovely doggo, chill farm enviroment. Wifi was out of range in our room as a minus point. Our room had a tons of electric outlets, finally i doesn't needed to choose what to charge for next day-camera or phone. :)
Very nice rooms with a comfortable community space including a well stocked kitchen which is always open. There is no dinner available and the included breakfast is typical.
