It was a beautiful cottage with a river view. They had all the amenities we needed at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to families travelling with children.

Super expensive hotel. Dirty sofa, beds and bathroom (gross). Receptionist didn’t know anything about the room. I had to pick up the Wi-Fi generator myself from another room. Nothing to do around the area. Terrible overall experience

We Checked in - dirty towels and dirty bed linen, previous guest trash still in bin, not cleaned at all, disgusting really disappointing, turning on any taps made whole place stink of sulfur

Charming cabin within the sound of a rushing river. Peaceful despite being part of a larger campground, check in and out were very easy. We only stayed one night so did not get to use either the indoor sauna or back deck hot tub. A little tight for five adults, so if you stay longer than a night or two I don’t recommend a full complement of six.

The owner is hard to find, use this place as a last resort for blonduos. The room is outrageous.

Stayed at Gladheimar in one of the, one bedroom cabins. Great clean, comfortable and functional self catering facilities, with amenities within walking distance if required. Very helpful owner and Wifi within the cabin great as well, recommend a stay here if travelling in the area

Overall a decent experience. The trash under the sink was full. There were lights that did not work in the bedrooms. Because of the strong wind that night you could feel the cabin move with the gusts of wind. Did enjoy the quiet atmosphere with the river close by.

The hot tub I paid for was “unavailable “ and the cottage was old and not as pictured in the ad
The town itself has little to offer, no breakfast and poor restaurants
Wished we just carried on to Akuyere

Rooms are dirty and obviously sheets are not changed between guests. We found hairs on pillows and on bathroom walls. The room doors do not lock and the owner barged into our room without knocking and started asking how many people are staying in the room and that we move out (we were 3 persons in a 5 bed room). I did not feel safe and in order to sleep properly we blocked the door with one bed to stop further night visits. The room was pre booked and paid weeks in advance and the owner showed me to the room upon arrival, so there was no mistake with the room.

It was wonderful! The landscape, the peace, force of nature, and of course the awesome cottage, with hot tub and everything you might need! The Host and all personnel is very kind and gentle. Everything was perfect. Thanks a lot Gladheimar!!
