Brimslóð Atelier Guesthouse in Blonduos

Absolutely beautiful hotel located right beside the ocean. The breakfast area is so wonderfully decorated and offers a massive window that provides incredible views of the ocean. Breakfast was fabulous; it included a wide variety of meats (included smoked salmon), jams, bread, cereal, etc. Our room was cozy with a very modern bathroom, a couch, and beautifully furnished. We really loved the attention to detail. All the staff were so friendly and inviting, it made us feel right at home.

Very beautiful place at the ocean, rooms decorated nicely creating a feeling of cozyness. We stayed at the old house right from the main building, had our own bathroom and balcony. We were even able to see aurora at night. Unforgettable experience. Breakfast was delicious, the banana cake with chocolate chip definitely a highlight. However, after traveling around Iceland for 10 days and receiving warm welcome from all people we met on the way we were very disappointed by the personnel at the Brimslod Guesthouse. at rare times that we encountered Pierre and the owners they made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. we asked for more coffee at breakfast and never received it. we asked for the wine glasses in the evening to enjoy our wine while watching aurora, the request was simply ignored. if you are going there for experience, you don't want it
