Guesthouse Hof in Vatnsdalur

We stayed in the dome house. Beautiful setting, we were sad that we had such little time here (arrived at around 5pm, left by 8am the next day). Watching the working dogs and sheep was brilliant, the dome itself is a lot bigger than expected, but very cosy. Would like to relax here for a few days and switch off from the outside world. Their dog is super friendly!

Beautiful property! We really enjoyed the dogs and horses, and taking a walk around the property. The hosts were wonderful, and gave us great advice on things to do while in Iceland.

This is a farm, far away from everything.
So bring your own food and satellite dish for the evening hours (just a kitchen for your own food, wifi only in the shared room)... Or just concentrate on social activities (dogs, board games, looking for the northern lights, jacuzzi).

Nice place to stay. Clean rooms, a lovely doggo, chill farm enviroment. Wifi was out of range in our room as a minus point. Our room had a tons of electric outlets, finally i doesn't needed to choose what to charge for next day-camera or phone. :)

Very nice rooms with a comfortable community space including a well stocked kitchen which is always open. There is no dinner available and the included breakfast is typical. There is a tractor trail through the woods and down to the river. The hosts sat a MF answered our many questions about raising sheep and their way of life. Very nice.
