Skyggnir Bed and Breakfast in Fludir

Had a great time there. The host personally greeted us upon arrival and showed where everything was.
I especially liked the info posters of various Icelandic plants and animals hang around the place.

Thank you for welcoming us at the last minute when Iceland is completely full in summer, especially in the campgrounds. Your bed and breakfast has everything we needed a peaceful, clean, and well-organized place to rest. We really appreciated it!

We had a lovely time here! The location was wonderful and the owners are lovely people who clearly put a lot of effort and care into what they do. The location is fantastic with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields and the sunset was stunning. Breakfast was included, which added even more to our experience.

It's a house with 6 bedrooms, 1 common area, 1 kitchen & 1 dining room, and 2 bathroom. So we'll be sharing kitchen, bathroom etc with the other guests.

The house is super clean and organized, kitchen is super complete, with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle etc.

The owner stay at a hillhouse nearby and will come to open the door for you and explain about everything. When we got there, he and his dog came to greet us and show us around with a very effective yet attentive way.

There's a convenient store nearby, about 5 min driving. Nice place & nice service, perfect for a stopby after visiting the golden circle

The house is very clean. The kitchen is well equipped. Two bathrooms are available, each with a toilet and a shower.

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights (our home-base & break from driving from the North), and we were so happy about being in the middle from all the places we wanted to see. We visited Geysir, then Gullfoss, on Day 2 (1st day was resting after that long drive), then enjoyed the hot pot from the neighbor for a small fee. Day 3 we visited the Blue Lagoon, then Reykjavik (used Parka App for street parking) & ate at Icelandic Street Food (restaurant) for the experience of local food. On the way back to our lovely Skyggnir B&B, we used the B&B’s advice & ate fresh ice-cream (you could see the cows) & went to Bruafoss (wasn’t on my list but soooo happy we saw the blue waterfall -Parka App was useful here, too). Our B&B also mentioned a Tarn, so we climbed up a mountain (steep-hiker’s heaven) & saw a lake on top of the mountain. Skyggnir is a perfect location for visiting the Golden Circle, with family. Other information- We stayed in 2 small rooms (small=warmer), and behind the door was so much space for 2 suitcases & a heavy duty rack to hang stuff up, a night stand, plenty of plugs (look up on the shelf), towels & bed linen. Plenty of everything a family would need, in all common areas, so if we ever come back to Iceland, “Skyggnir B&B would be our first choice & they are reasonably priced for families.” Enjoy!

This guesthouse is definitely one of the wonderful guesthouse that we had spent. Very clean rooms and modern kitchen with almost everything that we might need.
Breakfast was simple with breads,cereal, milk, oat milk and juices.
Owners were Very friendly and helpful.
Next time when we come back we will definitely stay here again.

It is a super accommodation. The host is very very friendly, helpful and competent. You can get very valuable tips. It is very clean. Everything you need is there. (Coffee, tea - great varieties, ingredients for breakfast). What more do you need when you are in Iceland? Absolutely recommendable.
