The place is nice, especially the Hot Tubs that are included. One main Disapointment was at the breakfast. Their Coffee machine Malfuctioned and they had an additional coffee machine from the bar which is literally at the breakfast buffet, but instead of serving coffee for free for replacement of the malfuctioned one, they were are asking you to pay for your morning coffee which this is unacceptable...

The room was too hot and stuffy. The lobster bisque from the in-house restaurant was incredibly salty, and the hotel offered no compensation after we provided feedback.

We've stayed here only for one night. The place is nice, the rooms were clean and spacious, they have a nice restaurant and bar - good service and good drinks. The view from the terrace was impressive. Beautiful atmosphere. But they clearly need to make some improvements for the bathrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bedrooms were comfortable and a good size and the breakfast was good. They allowed us to store some bits in their fridge which was great. The highlight for us was seeing the northern lights here.

Spent 2 nights in Stracta hotel during summer. We were given a room in the outdoor without shelter, so it was quite a hassle when it rained. Otherwise the room was pretty standard size, squeezy for 3 people, would be fine for 2. Didn't manage to try the hot tub as it was full with patrons. Do not forget the complimentary drinks, Cheers!

A little expensive but there are not much choices there if you want to glacial hike and not drive too much early in the morning. Cheaper food options opposite which is also owned by them. This hotel is in a great location but otherwise is very basic. It has no soundproofing at all and you can easily hear everything people do in the rooms next to you or in the hallway. I loved staying here! The staff was kind and helpful. The room was cozy with a cool view of the glacier. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. Just be aware that dinner is expensive. I had chicken legs and my friend had arctic char and we both had dessert. Our meal together was close to $200 USD.

I was asked to use my credit card upon check-in, but upon check-out the next day, they charged me 40,000 kronor (the room fee had already been paid online). The room was clean and well-insulated, with good heating. The shower and toilet were separate, and there was even a clothes dryer, which was very satisfactory. Efri-Vik overnight We initially reserved a bungalow however on arrival we were upgraded to a hotel room. Breakfast buffet was quite good with many options.

We got upgraded to a nice room at Hotel Laki as the bungalows were closed after summer. The hotel was very swanky, the food options were delicious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is a fine stop for a one-night stop for travel across the south coast. The place to stay is very close to the church. Service is so-so. Breakfast is okay. Eating at KFC nearby is the most cost-effective option; places like Da Shi Dai are just a few minutes' walk away. We stopped here to get out of the weather, and what a great place. The hot tub was a great break. They also have their own thermal pool, horses and dogs and amazing views.

Breakfast was delicious! If you're too lazy to go into town in the evening, the hotel's paid buffet is also quite good. Both the taste and value for money are excellent! I even saw the Northern Lights when I went down for breakfast in the morning!

Perfect location, where you can see the aurora all around the mountains. The room temperature is perfect and you can adjust it besides the window . They have a perfect balcony, which you can go straight outside and put your tripod on the grass and take pictures freely. There is no light influence at night so I can directly see the dark sky

I was a bit skeptical stopping at this hotel in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road, but this hotel was wonderful!! The hotel is clean and close to the waterfall as well as the Systravatn Viewpoint. We didn’t see the aurora during the night we stayed but we saw meteors which is also a very nice surprise. The staff of the hotel are helpful and friendly.

The standard rooms are small, and our shower had a curtain, so water ran all over the bathroom. It's fine for one night, but if you're traveling with a group, I recommend staying in the nearby suites at the same hotel. The breakfast is very good; they even have watermelon, and that's in winter.
