The pull out bed for our 15 year old was incredibly uncomfortable, we had to line it with pillows for her to get some sleep.
The hot tubs outside were great but as we’re travelling in winter we don’t pack flipflops so had to go barefoot to it and back, it’s also not very well lit on the paths.
While the food in the restaurant was lovely, the price for 3 of us was £93 - we went to Iceland knowing food was going to cost us but 3 burger meals wasn’t expected to be quite so much.
Cosy, well decorated and conveniently located at the heart of the Golden Circle. It was perfect!
I would an only recommend a refurbishment of the bathrooms (although they are functional, this hotel deserves a bit more…).
The evening meal was delicious and the bar selection was good. But breakfast was overpriced at 22 euro - the scrambled eggs were rock solid from sitting in the pan too long.
The rooms are fairly dimly lit through mostly table lamps.
The bar/reception area is too small for the number of rooms,whjch was fine as not that busy but I'd hate to thi k what it's like in high season.
A bonus is the hotel's outdoor spa pool!
Will definitely stay again if we revisit the area :)))
