Wonderful hotel near the Hekla vulcano. Spacious and clean rooms, great views, good breakfast, horses nearby and a free, outside hot tub! Very friendly staff also.

We stopped here to get out of the weather, and what a great place. The hot tub was a great break. They also have their own thermal pool, horses and dogs and amazing views.

The hotel is lovely and they'd decorated it with fairy lights for Christmas which was cute. However, the woman at reception (in charge?) was quite unwelcoming, which set the tone for the rest of the staff - curt and not a smile between them (with the exception of the lovely South American man). We could not been any happier with this hotel. It has matched our expectations. It has a beautiful setting and lovely staff. The grounds, especially the historic church, are well worth seeing. We enjoyed a dinner with local fish and lamb at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet included several options. We loved the beet juice served in small glasses.

Our stay was wonderful! The staff was very nice and accommodating. The place is clean and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub with a nice view of the countryside and the dinner and breakfast were delicious.

Nice location next to a small church. Breakfast was one day worth "8", the other day only "6'. We had dinner in the hotel the first night, but there are better options around.

Check-in was fine, it’s at The Hill hotel across the street. The room itself is very basic. No tv, no microwave, no mini fridge. Just a bed, couch and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. There isn’t a sidewalk leading into the door, you have to wheel any suitcases over gravel. Extra charge for breakfast, 3400 ISK per person. Dinner is also very pricey. We ended up getting takeout pizza from Mika Restaurant...

Small grocery very close to the property. We grabbed sandwiches there for a quick snack just before they closed at 7pm.

EV charger on site. Great location in the middle of the Golden Circle. There was a restaurant right next to the guesthouse, and the main Hill Hotel across from the guesthouse has a nice restaurant.

The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was super cute. The hot tub was open from 3 PM to 9 PM, not super hot but very relaxing. There's a chance to see the Northern Lights while soaking! We told them we were on our honeymoon, and they even prepared a lovely surprise for us. Highly recommend!

Perfect base for exploring Southern Iceland. Bára was a hospitable host, and her passion for her Icelandic horses was evident. It felt like we were welcomed into her home, and everything was perfect. Stayed here with G Adventures tour. This place deserves 5 stars. 1-for the view and landscape, 2- of course the horses, Ba’ra is so proud of her horses, 3-the peacefulness and the serenity surrounding the place, 4-its cozy and clean, 5- the host is very welcoming to all weary travelers.

Spacious rooms. Large bathroom. Heated towel rack, underfloor heating. Very clean. Our tour group took up the whole place and had a lovely couple of nights. Not sure how meals usually work there but we cooked together of an evening in the kitchen and breakfast was prepared for us in the mornings. Stayed a couple of years ago as a client of Arctic Adventures ...it was our base for the holiday and we loved it there. The hosts were fantastic, as was the food and drinks, and horses in stables nearby.

This is one of the most incredible hotels/guest houses I have ever stayed in. Service was incredible, property is gorgeous, and the horses are a wonderful bonus! Highly recommend this guest house if you're traveling through Iceland!

This B&B is close enough for me to visit Landmannalaugar. The room isn't very spacious, but after some adjustments, I was able to fit my suitcase. Peaceful place with incredible view. We went in December and while the weather was cold and windy, the house was very well isolated and warm. It is located on a small hill, giving you a good view on the distance landscape. The window of the bedroom is oriented North, allowing you to view to Northern Lights while lying in bed.

We spent the night in this house in 2016, we really liked it. Booked this place again in 2020. We were satisfied. Cool pool, no one around. Clean, all you need to eat. Shower, kitchen, warm and cozy.

The owner is really helpful and sweet. The rooms, wc, baths, kitchen are really clean. The atmosphere made us feel home. The location is close to some important places in golden circle. The rooms have everything you need, and also in the kitchen you can have coffee and tea (and all the needed utensils) provided by the house.

One of the friendliest and most comfortable guest houses I’ve ever stayed in, not just in Iceland but ever! Excellent location. Can easily visit the golden circle from here. Better than comparable priced hotels in the city. Sink in bedroom, shared showers. This guesthouse is nice and clean, you have to take a short gravel road to get there. The room was very small, but it had a sink and a good heating system to dry the clothes. The shared bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast was good, there was ham and cheese, bread, skyr, cereal and cake. But it starts very late, at 8am. Tea and coffee are available all day long. I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We've stayed in some beautiful homes during our trip but this is an absolute treat. There are about 10 rooms. Extremely comfortable stay. We had a room on the ground floor and shared two fully equipped bathrooms with other guests on the floor. That was no problem at all. Coffee, tea and cake were always on the house. Breakfast was decent too. The rooms had one too few power outlets though. They also have a hot tub for guests. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure why this place is rated so high. It's one of the cheaper places in Iceland but it should be. The place has a smell like dirty socks, the room we had was the smallest and most claustrophobic in the country, and the breakfast of cereal and bread is not amazing.
