We really liked the historical place, the view of the white church from the window and the hilly landscape. The hotel is cozy and modern, the staff is helpful and friendly.

The best restaurant in all of Iceland. The chef is incredible. My partner and I stayed here for two nights and ate at the restaurant both nights. Best decision. Hotel is romantic, cozy, with beautiful views of the church and northern lights. What a treat to stay here!

Big Cabin with fantastic view. It’s a little 80s old, but clean and nice. Remember everything for the kitchen, there is nothing - not even salt and pepper. Or perhaps some coffee. Nice place for a family.

Wonderful hotel near the Hekla vulcano. Spacious and clean rooms, great views, good breakfast, horses nearby and a free, outside hot tub! Very friendly staff also.

We stopped here to get out of the weather, and what a great place. The hot tub was a great break. They also have their own thermal pool, horses and dogs and amazing views.

The room is on a small side but very nice equipped with all shelves & cabinets & refrigerator. Hot tub too. The receptionist is cute & very friendly. I'll will highly recommend for anyone is travel to this way.

Traveling from USA and had to edit my review after staying other hotels here in Iceland. If you are coming from the US you need to understand that there is no air conditioning and you have to leave the window open at night and you may get bugs in your room but if you want a call room that’s just what you have to deal with. Really nice hotel. The rooms are clean, big and really quite. Bathroom is super. You have a hot tube to relax after a long day of walking in the golden circle. The location is really good for 2 days in the areas, near the center of the golden circle. Breakfast is really good and starts at 7h30 so perfect for early birds ! I recommend!

What a wonderful place. Such attention to detail with all the little extras that made it feel like home. Quiet at night, comfortable beds made for a restful night. Breakfast choice was plentiful and delicious. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay. Well thought out room layout and bathroom has a floor heating system. No TV but has a nice view of a stream in the back, which I prefer more. The breakfast buffet was good. Would stay again if visiting the area in the future.

Rooms are small but comfortable. We had both dinner and breakfast with are both very good ! The hosts are lovely, helpful and we really liked the family feeling they give to the whole place. Thank you !

The most beautiful guesthouse, in the most beautiful setting. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. The lounge area was great for socialising and cooking dinner. We even saw the Northern Lights both nights we stayed. I fell in love with this magical place. Thank you. X

Amazing location with horses (!!) and all the basics covered. There is a bar (you can run a tab and pay at check out) and a hot tub, but it was winter, so didn't try that. The breakfast left something to be desired and there wasn't quite enough seating in the living space for our entire group, but no real complaints otherwise! I'd def stay here again as a basecamp for day excursions.

Excellent location. Can easily visit the golden circle from here. Better than comparable priced hotels in the city. Sink in bedroom, shared showers. This guesthouse is nice and clean, you have to take a short gravel road to get there. The room was very small, but it had a sink and a good heating system to dry the clothes. The shared bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast was good, there was ham and cheese, bread, skyr, cereal and cake. But it starts very late, at 8am. Tea and coffee are available all day long. Extremely comfortable stay. We had a room on the ground floor and shared two fully equipped bathrooms with other guests on the floor. That was no problem at all. Coffee, tea and cake were always on the house. Breakfast was decent too. The rooms had one too few power outlets though. They also have a hot tub for guests. Highly recommended.

There are very few places that rate a return stay. This is one of 2 in my travels that I have done that. Six years ago it was very comfortable with a great breakfast. Can’t recommend this guesthouse enough. Such a friendly and welcoming host! The rooms were immaculate and very comfy, perfect for winding down after a long day exploring Iceland. The shared kitchen area was great and very practical. The breakfast in the morning was superb, and featured loads of traditional Icelandic foods to try. Wish we could have stayed longer. Peaceful place with incredible view. We went in December and while the weather was cold and windy, the house was very well isolated and warm. It is located on a small hill, giving you a good view on the distance landscape. The window of the bedroom is oriented North, allowing you to view to Northern Lights while lying in bed.

It is a super accommodation. The host is very very friendly, helpful and competent. You can get very valuable tips. It is very clean. Everything you need is there. (Coffee, tea - great varieties, ingredients for breakfast). What more do you need when you are in Iceland? Absolutely recommendable.

Nice remote location. Clean rooms, a more than decent kitchen and even a shared living room. Extraordinary friendly host and a simple but good breakfast. Wifi and parking are available, the bathrooms are good. There is a place to sit outside. Can recommend!
