Nzar Khoury For Hosting Guest House in Acre

People sometimes mention friendly hosts but this time it's really a great host, not just friendly. Just a few examples: 1. Our "agency" which used booking for us didn't bother to send us his phone number, and we arrived late, but Nzar waited for us there. 2. There's a kitchen, and everything there is included in the stay, so we could make a supper for ourselves instead of eating what snacks we took in the lounges for the flight and beyond. 3. We had to leave early in the morning, but he gave us a lift at 7:30 in his car - i mean, 7:30! Getting up this early is a nightmare and he did it for random guests. The place itself is... well, it's typical Israel so don't expect much, but at least the most critical things - bedsheets, towels (unlimited btw!) were clean so that's what matters. Also, the building is old, so 6 meter high ceilings are a plus. Just make sure to get a special pair of slippers for the shower. BTW, no mold (!). As for the balcony... yeah. Well. I could live on it. What a view

I have to put on the context. We've landed at Ben Gourion International quite late on Saturday evening, and decided to go straight up to Akko...the only solution was the Sherout to Haïfa, and then the train to Akko. We were afraid we wouldnt find it, or it would be too late. First of all, it as really easy to find, from the train station, go to the sea, then walk along the shore toward the old city, and when you arrive to the light house, turn left, you can't miss it. Secondary, Nzar was waiting for us, however he had other plans for the evening, he proposed us some snacks to fuel up after such a trip, and then still found the strenght to show us around ! We've had a great time talking whil smoking a shisha and drinking a tea. Moreover, he seemed more than happy for a second round in the morning ! Once you have managed to find the entrance (you have to walk up one of the little alleys from the waterside), you are inside an old local house with simple but atmospheric rooms. Our competent host Nzar gave us some quick tips how to get on with our sightseeing tour and even had a good supply of beer in the fridge :-). The latter went together very well with the beautiful terrace looking out onto the Mediterranean Sea.

Nzar is a generous nice guy who will tell you everything you need to know to enjoy Acre. His rooms are clean, cheerful, decently priced and you get to enjoy possibly the best seafront terrance in town ... and a piece of apple!

Lovely stay in true B&B style. Owner Nzar is friendly and will always assist you with knowledge of the area. We had only minor issues with finding parking and always succeeded in the end. Akko is a great spot to discover northern part of Israel. Highly recommended!

Nzar the owner is very nice and helpful, the location is perfect. I recommend it.

Stayed for a full month. The owner really wants to help you have the best stay possible. The rooms are spotless, the beds comfortable, has an amazing patio overlooking the ocean which is perfect for enjoying the sunsets ... he loads the kitchen up with goodies... and it's AFFORDABLE

Brilliant! Simply brilliant! If you want to live by a real local you definitely should stay here. He will tell you stories about the current situation in Israel, about the history and lot of other things. He's like a guide and if you ask him he will also guide you through the little narrow routes of the old city of acre/akko. The rooms are simple but clean and totally enough to enjoy your stay. The best thing you should do is to wake up and have breakfast on the terrace. From there you'll see Haifa and the Mediterranean Sea in front of it.

It's amazing!

Nzar is a perfect host that makes you feel like you are a family guest at his home. He very kindly let us use rooms in the morning, welcomed us with snacks and drove us to the gardens as well as to the train station. The rooms are in his old family home with lovely terrace overlooking the sea and the lighthouse. Wish we could stay longer!
