Reviews
We've stayed in several of the more well known boutique hotels in Tel Aviv.
The Numa is not fancy. The building is not historical. There is no fancy restaurant on the premises. And no, no bathrobe or slippers. But what do you get?
Clean, quiet, comfortable room, with an espresso machine, a kettle, coffee, tea, mineral water, a small fridge.
A small but good bathroom with all the amenities, a makeup mirror (they get extra points for that) and excellent water pressure.
An excellent breakfast with ample variety.
Self parking garage on the premises (a must if you're with a car in Tel Aviv), and a location that is easy to get in and out of.
Absolutely outstanding staff.
Value for money? Absolutely.
Thank you, Numa, for another enjoyable stay. See you next time.
First of all, our hotel rooms were not ready at 3:00 PM, which is clearly stated as the official check-in time according to Booking.com and your own policies. While we were forced to wait at the reception, a serious security incident occurred:
a taxi driver who was not connected to us took our suitcases, mistakenly believing they belonged to other guests he was transporting to the airport. This situation caused us significant stress and is completely unacceptable in a hotel of any standard.
After finally receiving our rooms, we discovered another major issue. There is a strong smell of smoke in the room, which appears both when the air conditioning is turned on and even when it is turned off.
I don't understand the positive reviews. Maybe fakes…
NEVER MORE!!!
But after my own experience, I completely understand why.
Even if we set aside the beautiful design of the rooms (and the entire space), the artistic photos, the flawless breakfast, and the perfect location right on Jerusalem Boulevard — just a few minutes’ walk from the Flea Market, the beach, and the port —
the service alone is worth more than five stars. Absolutely outstanding.
I’ve stayed in several hotels across Israel, but I’ve never encountered such an impressive level of service awareness.
From the always-smiling reception team, to the kind housekeeper, and even the owner himself — who personally made us an omelet at breakfast and insisted we try the freshly squeezed orange juice — everything was simply exceptional.
They truly deserve a rating of 5 stars and beyond, even despite a small issue that wasn’t under their control (and which we hadn’t reported in time), yet they still went out of their way to compensate us for it.
On top of that, cleaning was far below basic standards: we often came back to a bed badly made, sometimes with old sheets rolled up and left on the bed or bedside table, and on some days only wet towels were provided. I have photos showing the state of the room and the mess left behind. We complained every day, but the staff never actually solved the issues, always saying they would do something and then nothing changed. Even at checkout when we described our stay, the staff said they would report it to management and that they would call us but three days later we still have not heard from them.
Overall, the hotel felt neglected and cheap, with very little care for guests. This was far from the positive reviews we had read and I cannot recommend it.
The breakfast is very rich and the restaurant environment is also very good.
The hotel room is also very comfortable. The bed is big and easy to sleep on. There is a TV in the room where you can watch YouTube. I am so impressed.
The hotel is close to tram and bus stops, coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and McDonald's, which is very convenient.
