The Herbert in Tel Aviv

Staff is amazingly helpful. Location is perfect, right across beach. Breakfast is very good.

I had a terrible experience trying to reach this hotel to ensure my reservation was registered. The Whatsapp operator was rude and they did not answer emails. When I finally arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has a great location and is part of the Herbert Samuel chain. Beware however the rooms are tiny and there is no elevator. I was lucky to get assigned a lobby level room with no view, but at least to normal size people fit there. Breakfast is accross the street. Boris in the reception desk was outstanding. He was very nice and helpful with a great attitutde. They have fruit, cookies, coffee, wine and prosecco available at the lobby all day. It has a true boutique hotel feel. If only they would be more responsive to emails....

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our ocean view room had a great view, but be mindful that the rooms are quite small.

This hotel has real character (it’s a historical building), it has amazing views over the beach and the promenade (we had a fantastic sea view balcony) and the staff are incredibly helpful- especially Nada. It is clean and there is water, wine and Cava freely available at the bar. There is access to the infinity pool at the sister hotel, the Herbert Opera next door, and if you’ve booked breakfast, that is where it is served. The main downside of the Herbert is there is no lift, and we initially were on the top floor, which involved a lot of steps! We were however later moved to the first floor when they availability. The other downside is that there is absolutely no room in either the bathroom or bedroom to unpack/store things, which was tricky as we were staying for 10 days.

I was my first time at The Herbert and it was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to assist me. The hotel itself and the rooms are kept very clean. Rooms was nicely decorated with a large bathroom. Lobby area is very inviting, coffee and snacks are available. Housekeeping also does an amazing job. Breakfast is offered in the hotel opposite as a buffet. Plenty of choice for everybody

We booked a room with a balcony. On the first day the power went out in our room, which they called the repair guy to fix. Then overnight our air conditioner broke and was leaking into the room. They moved us to a smaller room without a balcony. We were still charged the price of the room with a balcony, despite being told they would refund the difference.

Otherwise the staff was nice. Breakfast across the street was amazing. Also the location was right next to the beach and walking distance to the shuk
