The hotel is not anymore what is used to be after October last year . As I arrived on Sunday about 9 pm, the receptionist told me that it was not anymore what is used to be. On the corridor to the right were towels with horrible smell outside the rooms of people evacuated from the border with Gaza and Lebanon.. My room was big with a double bed. Great window with nice view. No cold water bottles in the room, what you would expect from a good hotel, no slippers, a broken pen and a a few pages to write...no coffee machine in the room like years ago. The reception used to offer cakes, bourekas , food, but now just the jars with some cookies and sweets. Worse ,their cold sparkling water tap was broken, just plain water as seen in the picture. The breakfast on the first morning was good, vegetarian ,with smoked fish ,a few types. The cleaners done a good job, the smell was gone from the corridor, their manager the blonde lady gave me a good pair of slippers and a pen. The receptionist afternoon helped me by printing me two pages I need. The receptionists are kind and helpful . The next day in the morning a bad smell of sewage came into the room from the bathroom or from outside. Again the cleaners solved the problem, they are professional. The second day breakfast was very poor. The food left from a day before, some new salad but without the fish . Not one type of salami or fish. As I can not eat eggs I was hungry after the breakfast and went to buy some food . The young lady in charge of breakfast made me both days a good coffee and tea. Worse , the water from the pipes above at breakfast area were leaking Included on me, I was told it was from the air conditioning. People were smoking outside the hotel entrance day or night, a child was with a bicycle in the hotel , lucky they are giving each day a ticket to go for free at Gym over the street. Used to be a nice hotel but it went down is like a hostel just with an £170 per night for one single person. At this amount it is a shame... especially that they charge on top other 17 percent VAT if you are Israeli citizen, making it some £200 per night for one single person. The hairdryer in the room was half broken, only cold air, not hot. You arrive at a conclusion that this hotel needs a huge revamp . They cut out on everything.

- Extremely noisy both outside and inside (e.g. WC system) Rooms were too small for being called "Superior" The system of entrance to the building with the room key did not function properly - for the front door, it was sometimes off, and for the back door, our keys were probably not programmed to work (although the hotel description indicated entrances from both sides)
