Nice hotel, pleasant stay and rich breakfasts. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I was charged 30 euro extra for 30 min. delay at check-out. The evening before I was feeling sick, had fever and stomach pain, I needed the clean towel, but at 10 pm there was nobody on reception to ask for it, it was just dark and nobody from staff present. I hardly packed my luggage next morning feeling still weak. The check-out time is at 10 a.m., at 10.30 I received the call from reception to my cell phone (because my room phone was out of service all 3 days of my accommodation) to leave the room, and I immediately came down. The man on reception (later I got know he is the director, unfortunately for all clients) WAS SO RUDE WITH ME, SAYING THAT MY EXPLANATIONS ABOUT MY SICKNESS WERE FULL INVENTION, JUST TO AVOID THE PAYMENT OF EXTRA 30 EURO. He was obliging me to pay this extra saying, that it is indicated in hotel statement, that late check-out till 12.00 is charged. In spite I was sick, and I didn’t stay till noon, but only 30 min. more, there was no comprehension, like a wall in front. Since he continued to argue with me obliging me to pay this extra, I was deeply offended up to tears in my eyes for such injustice, I have paid the amount in spite I totally disagree with this charge. In same hotel statement is written, that the clients with accommodation from 2 days are provided with umbrella and a sun bed at the beach. When at my arrival I have asked of this, I was refused by the same man at reception. Well, this statement is written ONLY IN FAVOR OF HOTEL, to have the reason to charge you more money!

The location is great and includes a beach lounger. (It's just a shame we didn't have a spot at the hotel, but 150 meters away, so it was quicker to get to our room than to the umbrella.) You can't put anything more than a blanket on the beach either... plenty of parking and a shaded garage are a plus. The room itself is simply old and worn.

The furniture is old and worn, with warped door frames, and the fold-out beds are not very comfortable, with mattresses that could have been replaced a few years ago.

And this is the first time I've ever stayed in a hotel where I had to carry my own bedding to the room and have someone check after me before leaving. This isn't a super budget hotel, so you'd have to deal with a pathological person who can't even clean up after themselves. The air conditioning sometimes worked fine in one room, sometimes not in another (despite the balcony doors being closed).

And then there's the phone call from reception every morning to the room, for some reason. (Unfortunately, they couldn't speak English, as I wasn't counting on Polish.)

Nevertheless, the place itself is highly recommended for a short stay.

Good morning everyone, thank you for letting us have a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing holiday.
We extend special thanks to the reception staff, who were always available to listen to our requests (a special shout-out to Giulia!), and to the team at the takeaway restaurant, who prepared delicious and plentiful dishes.
We think the residence option is perfect...staying in an apartment and taking advantage of the takeaway service...it will definitely be our priority when returning to "Santo Stefano" in the future!
Thank you and best regards to everyone.

I love the way its so close to the beach and quiet. Everything was great here. But it really bothered me that some of the personal didnt speak english or german. But the thing that bothered me most were the rooms. It was really dark and almost no natural light. But most importantly there were no mosquito nets!! Just on the second night my daughter had 7 MOSQUITO BITES ON 1 LEG. Even i did. It was so bad she had them EVERYWHERE. She got a huge allergic reaction. She still complains about them to this day. If it was possible please install mosquito nets in atleast some rooms. I would even pay extra for that net. The food was delicious no complains but thats the only thing that kinda ruined it. Please fix it so me and other guests dont have to go through the pain. Thank you for understanding.

We love Santo Stefano, and after 13 years of vacation, always in the apartment, it seems obvious to us. The position is important: 1) Dedicated access to the cycle / pedestrian path, therefore to the beach; 2) Distancing from nearby structures; 3) Large internal spaces consisting of lawns, pine forest, parking for everyone, Church, etc; 4) Close enough to the central area, but also quite far from the chaos (for those who love tranquility); 5) The legendary director Nadia used to say that here, the disabled have priority ... let's not add anything else (it is nice to note the welcome that the less fortunate have at S. Stefano and on the beach).
There is no swimming pool, but usually you go to the sea because there is the sea, and at 10 meters there are the spas (already tested, with great appreciation). We love and, precisely for this reason, we raise the gaps found this year. Just to encourage those who decide to work on it. The lawns, the flagship of the RTA, ARE YELLOW (do the sprinklers work?); weeds that grow among the large tiles, even in the square in front of the arena; the boards of the walkway towards the beach are worn, some broken; we also suggest a more in-depth check of the apartments during the change of users. Once there was Daniele, a very nice entertainer (also a singer, but in the free-range life), or at least a weekly evening dedicated to vacationers. All finished? I hope not to save as the prices have gone up anyway. We need an investment, a WAKE UP so as not to degrade the reality of our S. Stefano, yes because it is a bit as if it were our home. We hope this constructive criticism will help, and in any case see you again next summer.
