Hotel Niagara in Marotta

Located on the seafront, with a 6-space guest parking lot, but with 16 rooms, logically 10 guests park outside the property. The building is old, dilapidated, and bordering on indecency on the outside. Once inside, you're only reminded of the terrible state of repair of the rooms. There's no elevator, while some guests have architectural barriers. So, we climbed up to the second floor with our suitcases, the stairs were dirty, and the stairwell covering was so worn that the fabric showed. We entered the room, where the beds from the 1960s were completely covered with rust at the foot end. The double bed's blanket was stained. The balcony still had plastic cups full of water and old cigarette butts. The bathroom is about 2.5 square meters, with a sink about 70 cm high, a bidet, a toilet, and a corner shower with a curtain soaked in water at the base—I can't tell you what—(I might upset anyone reading this). No hairdryer, only one power outlet under the TV, where we already have a power strip with other lines already connected. The drain wire is on the floor, attached to the arm where the shower head is mounted. Guest safety requirements are not being met. Yet, water and electricity should be separated, right? That said, we go out for dinner, come back, and a kind soul moves us to another room, moved by pity for our faces. Even in this room, hair is all over the bathroom floor... especially in the shower... This morning we wake up to bad family news and have to return early... I inform the management of my early departure for family reasons, and they charge the full stay... The explanation is that since the reservation was made on Booking.com, they couldn't do anything because they were having problems with Booking.com itself... Am I supposed to believe this? This is all bullshit. In short, I'm reviewing the property today, August 30, 2025, and I even paid for tonight's stay, which I won't be staying for, however... I hope not future guests, to draw the conclusions.

Terrible experience. The building is old and in need of renovation. The rooms are dated, with a very small bathroom without a shower, and the whole place gets flooded. The furniture is outdated, with only one electrical outlet—the one for the TV, where a multiple outlet had been installed—and none in the bathroom, not even near the bedside tables. We had to ask for toilet paper because they hadn't left any. We couldn't sleep that night due to the loud noise from the outside air conditioning. The owner is unsympathetic in sensing real discomfort. The breakfast buffet is good, with lactose-free pastries.
