Hotel Caravel in Marotta

Classic structure, with everything you need. The sea view is beautiful it seems to sleep on the beach even if the sound of the rough sea really makes noise. In the bathroom there is no place to hang the towels and there is no drying rack to put wet swimsuits. The beach below the hotel is convenient, there is nothing around except the little bars on the seafront, it is better to move to Fano or Senigallia to take an evening tour, after a few days it is quite boring. The private parking is very convenient except that people do not care how they park and often occupied 2 or 3 places, putting others in difficulty. Possibility to use the bikes for free, much appreciated. Breakfast varies in the always different brioches but I did not like the fact that in covid time there was a buffet where everyone served themselves by touching the same tongs and I often saw people without masks approach the buffet.

I spent a week as their guest. Having the electric car I had telephone reassurances that I could recharge it in the hotel having 2 columns installed.
Once arrived it was no longer possible to recharge the car because they did not know how much to charge me for recharging as they could not afford to recharge for free to us who had booked through Booking.
Every hotel where I've been has always allowed me to recharge the car for free. A hotel cannot back down based on such baseless and even offensive excuses. Furthermore, having booked the visit to the Frasassi caves online, I needed to print the tickets. At my request suddenly there was an alleged malfunction of all the computers in the hotel and I had to go to a tobacconist's to print two sheets of paper. Upon my return, magically all the computers were working perfectly. There were also problems with the air conditioning of the room. The air conditioner was turned down during the night and could no longer cool the room. Another negative note, in my opinion, is the contiguity of the breakfast buffet with the bathroom. During breakfast it is not nice to see people passing by, who have to go to the bathroom, in front of the croissants. Also, the breakfast time coincided with the cleaning time. Again, it is not nice to have breakfast while they are mopping the floor under your feet and while they are "coming and going" to empty the bucket with the dirty water in the bathroom adjacent to the breakfast buffet. Poor anti-covid rules; there was no service, and everyone was free to space as they saw fit in the buffet. To give Caesar what is Caesar's, the quality of the breakfast buffet is excellent, the cleaning standards of the room are very good with clean towels for every need. The price of the stay was certainly competitive compared to other structures even if there is no form of entertainment. The structure is certainly very quiet and the soundproofing of the rooms allows you to rest well despite the proximity of the railway; sure if the air conditioning worked better ...
As for the staff, the owner of the structure is extremely kind. His kindness that breaks against the formal kindness of the lady actually manager of the structure.
I also had problems paying for the stay: an attitude of disorientation and surprise when I asked for the IBAN to make the transfer. I was asked if I could not pay as everyone does with a credit card. Only at my insistence the manager lady gave me the IBAN. In conclusion 3 stars and the certainty that I will never return; there are many tall structures that are very receptive, helpful and kind.
