The location is great! Though you cannot arrive with a car to the hotel, but the town is pretty small and any parking nearby where permitted will be max 5-10 min walk to the hotel. There is a small mini-market near to the hotel and a number of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff was very helpful and welcoming at the reception and all around hotel including at the breakfast. The breakfast is typical Italian - mostly sweets, coffee, very limited any other options, but almost all sweets are home made. Some complain the breakfast is not self-service buffet, but we did not find it trouble for us and we did not have any issue with very nice staff at the breakfast service.
The rooms is rather small, I mean we booked a small room, but it felt even smaller, though the bathroom size was decent. The noise isolation is non-existent and it felt like we were at grandparents house for Christmas that the house was full of families and kids running around and screaming all the time, banging doors, etc. That was the biggest issue for us as well as the price, but we booked last minute and did not have much choice.

LET'S START BY SAYING: As soon as we arrived, seeing the not-so-small dog, the management, without us saying anything and WITHOUT ASKING US FOR ONE EURO MORE, upgraded our room and gave us a bigger one. Once the stay has been completed, the supplement for the dog WAS OFFERED by the management. These two points alone justify my "beyond expectations".... Then....
POSITION: Very central, a stone's throw from everything! The car can be left behind the hotel (15 meters).
CLEANING: We travel with a large dog in tow, but every morning the room was cleaned from head to toe: not a hair anywhere (we are very tidy and clean, but don't take the cleanliness of the staff for granted).
ROOMS: old, in need of redo as well as the bathrooms (the management knows this, which is why they tend to please guests with promotions and treatment... excellent, nothing to say) but nothing is missing: everything works, everything is there! Our room was a beautiful and evocative attic, thermally insulated and with a beautiful view over the roofs of the town and the mountains.
SERVICE: When we say "I felt at home" we generally say it to express the fact that we had a good time in the facility, but this is really the case to say it in the true sense of the words: Everyone was kind, friendly and nice.
DINING: The restaurant only operates for breakfast, but the town is full of fantastic restaurants of all types, levels and prices.
BREAKFAST: EXCELLENT! Obviously they source from more than local producers. Both the sweet and savory parts are present. Many cakes are prepared in the evening by the excellent night porter (who is evidently also an expert pastry chef).
Gluten-free and lactose intolerant items available!
TO BE ASSESSED CAREFULLY:
- ANIMAL LOVERS: This is the hotel for us! Besides my Fritz there were also many other dogs of all sizes.

Cleanliness, order, excellent welcome, professionalism of all the staff and above all efficient and strict in the application of anti-covid government rules !!!!

We got the cheapest room so I wasn't expecting much.

Convenient location, abundant breakfast and kind staff, unfortunately the quality and cleanliness of the room left something to be desired, perhaps because as soon as the high season passed it was not considered necessary to take a closer look at the bottles used and left half open in the shower, the toilet not fixed to the floor, dead insects in the corners of the floor and in the drawers of the bedside tables which in our case were broken letting the screws come out.

Excellent location, practically in the center of Pescasseroli, excellent breakfast and staff. The room was very small, attic at the limit of habitability on the lower side (I had to be careful not to throw my head at the ceiling or at the window), with only one wall "locker" without doors with three number hangers where you can put your clothes . The bathroom needs renovation, very dated. Sky is there but you can't see it.

Unfortunately only 3 stars. The very kind and helpful staff in the rooms leave much to be desired. Old furniture, uncomfortable mattresses, very shabby bathroom. There are no electrical outlets in the room. Excellent breakfast and location of the hotel. Definitely needs a renovation of the rooms, while the rest of the hotel is beautiful
