Great hotel, except for the WiFi. When the local ski lifts close at 4:30pm and there's minimal apres-ski, you'd like to be able to use the evenings to catch up with friends & family at home. But the WiFi only works in the hotel reception and bar, not in rooms. It's misconfigured which confuses devices: they say "failed to get an IP address". I tried telling the staff this but they just said the WiFi...
Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms, very clean. Very friendly staff specially at bar and restaurant and animation (nice program for kids). Food was good too. We had really nice week staying there.
Great location within a walking distance (10mins) to the slopes. Family friendly hotel with helpful staff and great food choices especially the desserts. Enjoyed our stay
Pro: Everything you would want from a large-scale family-oriented hotel chain on the slopes. Pretty well run. Generous volume of catering. Comfortable rooms. Slickly operated to run at scale. Good facilities for little children, if you have them. Cons: Everything you would expect from a large-scale family-oriented hotel chain on the slopes. Service is pretty anonymous. Catering is pretty generic...
Location: The hotel is very well located – approx. 80 m from the slope leading to the glacier (often the walk from the parking area is longer than from the hotel to the slope) and about 200 m to the lifts across the street. The property is situated slightly away from the town center, but it takes only about a 5-minute walk. Excellent location. Rooms: The rooms are renovated, clean, and functional...
Staff were helpful and spoke english, which was very helpful as my Italian is very limited. The rooms were very clean, modern and cleaned everyday. The food as amazing, great selection and really good. My gluten free colleague as also very well catered for. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Love everything about this hotel: very clean and comfortable rooms that get cleaned every day.
We have booked the family twin rooms with balcony which are very spacious and modern and right next to each other (but not connected).
Very warm and friendly staff, always smiling and very nice to our 3 (quiet loud) kids. The food is excellent and the dinner menu changes daily. They have all kind of pastas...
An average hotel. Receptionists were rude. Swimming pool costs extra with the opening times not really working post the slopes if you have children under 12. Buffet didn’t change much with the breakfast options not changing at all! I wouldn’t stay there again. Much nicer options available.
This was our first ski holiday and we absolutely fell in love! The hotel was clean, comfortable, accomodating and I would highly recommend it! The food was great and all the staff were fantastic. The ski instructors were great and so much fun and the location was just incredible! This is the first holiday abroad that I would return too as I just fell in love with the area, people and slopes! You can...
We stayed here for a week and it was perfect!
My only small suggestion for improvement would be having tea facilities by default in all of the rooms. I asked about this and was told that you have to pay a small deposit to have the tea facilities in your room, but they don’t provide any milk.
This obviously isn’t enough of an issue to be hesitant about booking this hotel, we loved it and would consider...
Great hotel, right next to the slopes (via the 30ft staircase) rooms are cleaned & fresh towels everyday. Food is good and staff friendly, they were really great with us. Creche & kids club is fantastic. Had a great time here and will definitely stay again if in the area.
Most definitely not a 5-star hotel, on any level.
Good location, facilities, ski hire and locker room in hotel. Lovely views on either side (but not from all rooms) both day and night.
Away from shops. Awful queues to get into the ski hire shop for either fitting or collecting unless you go on as early as possible on your first day, before breakfast.
Per other reviews, most staff really - shockingly...

We had a magical skiing holiday here. This was not only due to the ideal location close to the ski slopes, but also due to the hotel itself.
The attitude of the entire hotel team was great. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. We also appreciated nice wellness.
Thank to whole hotel team
Had a great experience at this hotel. It's a family run hotel for 2 generations now, and we had the pleasure of meeting Luca, the manager and part-owner. Very friendly.
They kindly accommodated our late arrival of 00:30 by utilising a self check-in system.
All the staff at breakfast were friendly, and there was a fantastic array of choice - fruits, bread, pastries, spreads and a Nutella pump.

We were here at january 2024. The rooms were clean, breakfasts and dinners were awesome! The hotel is right at the start of the ski areal - I consider it amazing. The service at the hotel was excellent also. Thank you very much!
We only visited the bar and restaurant twice during our stay in Passo Tonale, however it is a lovely, clean, warm and comfortable hotel and with a nice ambiance. The pizza is exceptional, cooked fresh in a traditional oven and good value for money; they are also very large and you could share one at lunch time or take what is left away to snack on later, if you are so inclined. The service was professional...
Absolutely amazing kitchen and food, both dinners and a la carte breakfasts! In addition the owner was so nice and helpful guy!
Restaurant review:
Food: Pizzas and Fries
Taste: 8/10
Service: 3/10 (staff quite rude)
Price: 8/10
Food was tasty and portions were generous. Staff were quite rude, perhaps the rudest we have experiences in resort. A simple smile would go along way!
Would we recommend: yes
We didn’t stay at the hotel so can’t comment on the hotel hospitality.

The Orchidea is an excellent tradtional family hotel. It is impeccably clean and includes a wellness centre with sauna , spa, jacuzzi and chill out area. It is very near the Valbiolo lift and the ski shuttle stops extremely near the hotel. The rooms are warm and have plenty of storage space. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with plenty of choice. The chefs produced plenty of variety during the...
Hotel Orchidea in Italy is a true gem, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly sets it apart. This family-run hotel excels in both hospitality and expertise, making it an ideal choice for anyone visiting the region, especially if you're planning to ski. From the moment you arrive, it's clear that the owners take great pride in their hotel and its guests. The personal attention to detail...
This family-run hotel is perfectly situated, just a five-minute walk from the slopes and ski schools with lovely views of the mountains. I took my teenage son for his first ever ski trip and we had a great time at Hotel Orchidea. It’s spotlessly clean, with kind staff and plentiful, hearty food in the restaurant. We feasted on home-made pasta, tiramisu, ragu, stew, roasted fennel, tasty soups,...
This was our 3rd stay at the Orchidea which was perfect as usual. Received a warm welcome from Andreas and Sonia on arrival. Hotel was spotlessy clean. Food was excellent with good choices for vegetarians, the chef would go above and beyond for those with special dietary requirements and offer extra choices to what was on the menu. All staff including cleaners and waiters were friendly and efficient...
There was a lovely charm to our stay in this family run hotel. Our son has a nut allergy and the Chef and staff were very helpful informing us which meals would be nut free on a daily basis. There was great choice for breakfast and for the evening buffet. Which does not give justice to the quality and care the chef took with the meals. The wellness centre was small but had a sauna, steam room and...

Nice hotel, conveniently located within walking distance from the slopes and shops. Approximately 15 mins walk (in gear) from the main ski lifts. The free bus does stop at the hotel but timing didn't work for our 9AM lessons, so we had to walk each morning.
The hotel restaurant was pleasant, with an allocated table for the whole week we were there. Staff are friendly and sufficiently attentive and...
The hotel was totally amazing. Massively exceeded our expectations.
Staff - throughout the hotel were kind, helpful, friendly and attentive.
Room. Plenty of space and a brilliant shower. the room was cleaned every morning to a high standard. Lots of storage available to unpack all our things with hangers for clothes and lots of pegs for ski jackets and dressing gowns.
Restaurant - such attention...
The location of the hotel is very close to the ski lift, which is perfect for quick access. The food in the restaurant is fairly tasty but some portions were small, however there was a wide range of wine selection. Waitressing service was very good and pleasant unlike the service of the reception staff. The younger lady at the reception was very nice and friendly not like the older woman. In terms...
Hotel located in a good location next to sky trucks.
Service is really bad expecially in the kitchen area (table not ready for breakfast; service really slow ; etc).
Rooms not well cleaned.
At the end for the big amount paid for 5 days in this hotel , my expactation was a little bit highg and at the I can only say that I can't evaluate it a four stars hotel (meaby 3 stars is enough)
A very good hotel. for the price paid, it offers a lot. decent rooms, very very good food, located near the sky areea. I had a wonderful view from the room. splendid spa area. the gentleman who owns the hotel is very kind. we felt very good, we will come back. I recommend this hotel
A great 4 star plus hotel. We booked our ski holiday through Crystal Ski. Our rooms were clean, modern and warm. In fact one of the rooms was too hot. Breakfast is great. Dinner was OK. Loved the modern spa area. Steam room was excellent but sauna, pool and jacuzzi were far too cold. What a fantastic stay at Hotel Gardenia. The food was absolutely delicious, all the staff were super friendly, big shout out to Doris the bar lady and Giovanni our waiter who looked after us superbly making us smile every day. great stay with crystal. ski bus leaves on demand so overall a great hotel to stay at.
We were positively surprised with our stay at the hotel. Deserves more than 3 stars. Very clean, rooms are a bit outdated but well-maintained. Variety of options for both breakfast and dinner. We didn't like all the dishes we got, but during the week we got a variety of local options and they seemed more homemade than restaurant-style. I loved that experience. Never left hungry and the desserts were...
Ottima posizione, bella struttura e buonissima colazione. Ben curata la SPA e abbastanza grande per essere un albergo 3stelle!
Surprisingly a very good hotel related to its 3 stars! Extremely friendly staff, very good and differentiate cuisine - each day you have 7-8 dishes to choose. Nice spa with 3 different saunas and nice place for rest. Each day you can find theee an animator to take care of your small children. During the day you have transport to ski resort for free. A 6 day stay at Albergo Negritella room 206, allowed for a comprehensive review of the venue’s offerings. Both bedroom and ensuited bathroom were clean. There was a crack in the shower screen (which was also coming...
I would say that the hotel lived up to it's 3-star rating. It was an okay hotel to stay on. The food could be a little better but The spa section was really nice
Very nice, clean hotel, near to the ski area.
We enjoyed our stay, we were only a bit disappointed with the breakfasts, they were the same everyday and there were no vegetables or fresh fruits.
We Just stopped for lunch while riding by bike. Rain, cold, we could enjoy covered bike parking and re-charge while having a tasty lunch. Very kind Indeed!!!!
It had a good room although it was a bit outdated also the food had its ups and downs as the meat was always a mystery , and when it would say it was one type of meat it could be another . Not to far from the moutons about a 8 minutes walk with ski boots on but without only about 5 minutes . Also near the bottom of the mountain there is a ski and snowboard hire .

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Dolomiti. The hotel is opposite the slopes which is an added bonus.

The staff and food are really amazing with the waiters being extremely kind and overall very friendly. The food here is really good as well.
The location is great as it is close to the ski rental shop and the slopes as well as the glacier with great views.
The rooms are a real let down with some of the sockets not working. Stains on the walls and ceilings but apart from that they are cozy and nice...
- Location: perfect, all you need to do is to cross the street and you'll hit the lifts. They also have a large parking area and a garage in the basement.
- Staff: they are great, always nice and helpful.
- Room: 3rd floor, no elevator, extra-small bathroom, old furniture all around, I'd say really insufficient. Still, it was adequately clean.
- Food: fair enough.
Friendly staff, but a bit dated infrastructure. Good for groups, but would not recommend for a family or romantic holiday. Also don't expect to much from the breakfast buffet. There is no variation. The evening dinner is also not very special, although every person will find there choice in the menu. There is also a salad bar every evening.
Very nice hotel close to ski lift. Very good food also for vegetarians.

I have really enjoyed staying here The staff are so warm and so greeting, they really make you feel like you are at home. The food is incredible I’d like to say and so is the view. After coming here and staying in Italy, It has reinforced my reasons to come live here. When I came here with friends we had a right laugh about some things mostly because this way of life is so much better and different...
Great hotel with a very understanding owner who welcomes feedback in order to continuously improve the service provided to his guests. The food is good, especially considering the large number of guests—in our case, 88 people—which is not always easy to cater for. If you are traveling in a group, I highly recommend booking your stay at La Roccia, as it is conveniently located close to the ski lift...
yesterday 4 people at my table did NOT get any food in the evening, simply because there was not a lot of food on the table. Also the portions are way to small for us, when we were skiing all of us were hungry. The portions weren’t even the same size, one person got double the amount of the other.
Rooms were great👍
Perfect to stay, very friendly service, excellent dinner and very good breakfast. In addition the hotel has a garage for motorbikes. Nice view go the glacier and in total the price for one room including dinner and breakfast from my point of view is attractive.
Went skiing and stayed here. It is in a great location, walking distance from the midpoint for the gondola to the slopes. There is parking out the front of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of light from the large windows. These can be covered with blinds to black out the room if required. Good food, nice staff, and cheap drinks at the hotel bar. Only complaints are that when the kids are here they run around screaming all day without any discipline, and the walls are paper thin
Good value hotel. Happy to go there again.
Room are OK, but the room walls are very thin.
Breakfast is very basic but OK if you are happy with cereals.
Dinner is very good. They also have a good selection of local wines.
Hotel is perfectly located less than a 10 minute walk from the ski slopes. Very clean rooms, staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of food on offer for breakfast and dinner. Overall represents great value for money.
Not too bad for a budget hotel. Room decor was quite dated, and walls very thin - could hear our neighbours arguments 😀.
Food was plentiful at both breakfast and evening meal. The only downside was that we almost had to share a table with another couple as there weren't enough tables to go around. Would really have expected them to have catered for one table per room.
Location wise is pretty good...

This hotell was exellent.
Egen we arrived the lady in the reception help us with our luggage. After that we got a full tour of the Hotel.

Friendly, family-run hotel. Special mention for the helpful Anila who's English was far better than our atrocious Italian. Good breakfast (including fresh scrambled/boiled eggs), 100m to ski lifts, clean & spacious rooms (for a ski resort) and handy boot room with ski lockers. Bar and chill area for pre-dinner drinks.

Best thing this hotel is the location - 100 m to the closest lift. Ok breakfast and clean rooms. Balcony but no afternoon sun.
Very helpful staff. We booked a double room via email week 10 2025. Quick response in English.
It’s a nice hotel for the price. The bed was comfy. The location was great. It was enough to please us for a short break. The things I didn’t like was the room key had a very heavy metal keyring on it. Not ideal to carry around skiing. The automatic lights in the hallway could do with staying on longer.
Fine skiing resort. Gluten-free breakfast and dinner was provided well.
Good breakfast but our bedroom was for one person so thats was not so fun i hope they fixit to night 😂

The hotel is less than 100 m from the nearest lift, so it is a true ski-in. The staff is very helpful and willing to suport you.
The rooms are very clean, hot running water, cebtral heating. There was no fridge in my room, but my neigbours had one: check it before booking. Well, I used the balcony as a freezer)
The hotel is at great location, ski slope's, stores and souvenir shops are 50m-100m away. Pamela is a great host, very polite and willing to help at any time. Time for dinner was too late(19:30) for us and food was acceptable. Bed's where to hard for sleeping.
Great family run hotel 50m from the ski lifts. Good location in town with bars, restaurants and shops a short stroll away.
We’d never visited this area of Italy and were lucky in that there had been a massive dump of snow the week before we arrived and then the sun came out!
The hotel had recently been refurbished and the price was great value.
It is a family hotel run by several lovely ladies. Close to the lifts than most other hotels. Clean and warm rooms. Nice staff. Decent meals. No fancy staff like sauna or swimming pull, but there are couple bigger hotels across the street where you can go if you want.

Great service from the friendly staff.
Hotel is a slippery steep walk up from the main town so either be prepared for this or be dependent on the hotel's free shuttle minibus and it's operating hours. Mostly skied in and out which was fine (but the turn off from the Valbiolo piste is unmarked - don't miss it as it's a long chair lift...
I always spend not a lot of time at hotel. I only request to be warm, hot water and clean. From this proposes this hotel is great. Very nice and helpful crew. Fantastic food, very nice position of this hotel.
The only thing which could be upgraded:WiFi in all rooms, and primary set for preparing tea, coffee in rooms.
We recently stayed here for a week for a snowboarding holiday in late January. We liked the location, it was a short walk to the piste, where you can ski down to the lift. It is a little further out of the main town, around a 20 min walk. There is a hotel shuttle that can take you to and from certain points in the town. The evening meals were great, well cooked, 3 course meals which changed daily....
Fantastic food.
And fantastic helpful personal, great view, ski in ski out, Paulo is the best!

We had a wonderful family trip to Hotel Panorama.😍 The location is unbeatable—super close to both the ski slopes🎿⛷️🏂 and the town center🏘, which made everything so convenient with the kids. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Passo del Tonale!👏🎯
Great location, great staff, food is excellent.
Coffee is terrible, and the beds are uncomfortable, otherwise I recommend.
Good location, between two chair lifts (300 meters one and 400 the other), the rooms are comfortable, only a small fridge is missing to keep drinks cool. The meals are fair, the breakfast excellent. The skiroom is comfortable even though it is not possible to access it directly from the hotel. Nice and welcoming staff. I would go there again
They had some issues with the heating for the first 3 days of our stay
Otherwise it is relatively close to the center of the ski area (5 minutes walk)
They have a small breakfast buffet but with good quality of food
Price quality, great!
Polite, friendly and helpful staff.
The room was very cozy and romantic, fantastic mountain views
Hotel near everything, downtown, slopes and half an hour from the park of the stelvio.
