Hotel La Roccia in Tonale

Great family-run hotel, between Ponte and Passo Tonale. Our family room for four was extremely clean and very spacious, with a large bathroom. View of the beautiful mountains and just across the road, there is the cable car to Ponte di Legno or Tonale until late afternoon. Typical Italian, mountain breakfast (try the yogurt!). Lovely people who take great care of guests. Great value for money.

Great hotel with a very understanding owner who welcomes feedback in order to continuously improve the service provided to his guests. The food is good, especially considering the large number of guests—in our case, 88 people—which is not always easy to cater for. If you are traveling in a group, I highly recommend booking your stay at La Roccia, as it is conveniently located close to the ski lift and within easy reach of Passo del Tonale. The hotel staff and owner go above and beyond to accommodate respectful guests.

I have really enjoyed staying here The staff are so warm and so greeting, they really make you feel like you are at home. The food is incredible I’d like to say and so is the view. After coming here and staying in Italy, It has reinforced my reasons to come live here. When I came here with friends we had a right laugh about some things mostly because this way of life is so much better and different to life in the uk For anyone who is considering staying here please do it is so wonderful here and so are the staff If you’ve got this far thanks for reading.

Perfect to stay, very friendly service, excellent dinner and very good breakfast. In addition the hotel has a garage for motorbikes. Nice view go the glacier and in total the price for one room including dinner and breakfast from my point of view is attractive.

Went skiing and stayed here. It is in a great location, walking distance from the midpoint for the gondola to the slopes. There is parking out the front of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable with plenty of light from the large windows. These can be covered with blinds to black out the room if required. Beds are super narrow, which was an issue for me as I am broad shouldered. Rolling over in the night meant I would wake or risk falling out of bed. The shower was also a little tight given my size, lean back and you'd shut it down. These are minor issues and wouldn't stop me returning. Food was just brilliant and typical Italian fare. I put on weight I ate so much. The staff are wonderful and went out of their way to help out. There is a nice ski storage area with heated boot rack next to the lobby. It's wonderfully quiet and has stunning mountain views. It's just a great family run hotel and I will be back!

The hotel La Roccia in Ponte di Legno is a truly delightful place to stay for anyone looking for an unforgettable mountain experience. The building is designed in classic Alpine style, giving the visitor a feeling of being immersed in nature and providing a stunning backdrop of picturesque mountains. Its location is conveniently close to Passo del Tonale in the Italian Alps, which made the early morning treks for skiing and snowboarding much less cumbersome if we had stayed in the town of Pontedilegno down the mountain (at the beginning of the lifts). This is an unpretentious, family-run hotel - and they are absolutely delightful. Every day, the mother and son duo we would see in the morning or on our way back from Passo del Tonale would be so friendly and have such a wonderful presence and conversation. The mother, in particular, is a national treasure! As the matriarch of the hotel and family, she instills a spirit of warmth that cannot be feigned in this realm of hospitality. The rooms were clean, had all the essentials, and if you're traveling with kiddos, this place is also quite accommodating. There is ski and snowboard storage, which comes in quite handy, in addition to a parking lot in front as well as a loading area for equipment, making early morning departures and early evening arrivals so much easier. This is not your fanciest, high-end luxury hotel. Still, it does feel like you are staying with a favorite relative, eating surprisingly amazing food in this cozy location, and for that, we shall certainly return. Grazie di tutto, Roberto e Mamma!

Stayed a night here for a ski trip. Room was very good and breakfast included was nice. Staff very friendly and easy going. Accommodated us leaving a bag a little late to allow us to ski the morning before leaving. Very helpful.
