Hotel Salento MirFran in Torre San Giovanni

I stayed here with my partner the second week of August. New and well-kept structure, spacious and comfortable room like the bathroom and common areas. The management (the owner's family) very helpful and kind. Unfortunately we were not happy with the "half board" formula, and with meals in general. The breakfast buffet has fresh and very good products but the portions are small (to eat a slice of cake you have to ask for three) and the coffee (we only got the one from the bar) too long and watery, the toast with ham and cheese is very difficult to get, very chaotic service. The dinner presented alternately in the days with sea and land dishes, in the morning is "described" on the blackboard in the dining room in a too generic way, for example it is always reported "appetizer" (what does it contain?) Or second " fillet with almonds ”(fillet of what?) .. all without any written alternative and the side dishes are almost non-existent both on the blackboard and on the plate. On the last evening we made the owner aware of our thoughts on managing meals (ignoring his answers, the criticisms should be accepted) with the result that in the morning he "greeted" us while sitting. We give three stars for what is indicated in the first lines, modern structure, spaces, comfortable bedroom and bathroom, availability and courtesy (of family members).
