Card International Hotel in Rimini

Let me start this review by stating I travel a lot, in fact we've just spent the last month in Italy. I am pretty fair with my reviews and do let a lot go as some things cannot be helped or controlled. This place has some issues that I think could be fixed or prevented.. hence my review.

Let me start be saying the place is rated a 4-star hotel. It is not in all honesty and I will list some of reasons why I feel that way.

To start, the hallways leading to our room are dark at all times and I'm not sure what that's about. It was pretty off-putting to say the least.

The room can be very noisy outside room 128 and I imagine any rooms on that side of the building. There are multiple recycling bins where people are constantly throwing glass bottles into it at all times of the day and night. I've posted a video with the noise.

We stayed in a room with twin beds and my bed I could feel the springs through the mattress, not a big deal just noting. The chair that's in the room is just plain weird made of hard plastic and makes a lot of noise when moving it around.

The bathroom door makes a lot clicking sound when you open it or close it. It's so much fun in the middle of the night if you go to the bathroom. I've posted a video on this as well.

The room itself becomes very hot at night and due to it being February the AC in the room does not work. We know it is winter time here, but this room gets really hot and I literally had to sleep in just a sheet due to it becoming too hot at night. We can't leave our windows open due to the recycling/street noise. It was not a pleasant sleeping situation.

We have mentioned this to multiple staff members (4 times) with no solution. We even had them turn the heater off and it did not help with the air. This problem has been going on for 4 nights and no solution or suggestions of moving rooms. That was the strangest part, they never at any of those 4 times mentioned moving to another room.

The other thing is that you pay for everything in this hotel that is not the usual practice with a rated 4- star hotel. If you use the gym or hot tub you need to pay 15 Euro per person to use them. Every time you go as far as I know.

No complimentary water or juice. There is some in the fridge, but you have to pay for everthing. We asked them to remove them so we can put our water and snacks in the refrigator, but it day on the tabletop for 3 days and I had to put it back in the fridge.

The location is in a good spot with the train station/bus stops only minutes away.

In summary, this place is in a great location and the front desk is kind and friendly, but if you stay here do not get a room near the recycling bins outside room 128.
