Hotel Sporting in Rimini

The hotel is nice, as you would expect from a 4* hotel. I came for a trade show and I just found out that they DON’T HAVE IRONS FOR THE ROOMS. Not just that, if I want my shirt ironed I have to wait until tomorrow. This is absolutely ridiculous, even motels have irons for their customers. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel if your travelling for business.

The hotel looks great from the outside. The restyling done is very nice BUT: The pool is in the sun only for a few hours in the morning. The rooms are NOT all renovated and are small. Breakfast offers products from a lower category hotel. Little choice for savoury food. Only 1 milk as an alternative to whole milk. The breakfast room is closed with waiters who clear the table when you have NOT finished yet. Pets are allowed for the modest sum of €30. A kit is given first in the amount that was never delivered and they CANNOT be in any common area. In some rooms they are not allowed. They do NOT have the possibility of electrical charging and the outdoor parking is located in an old disused hotel closed so to speak with a chain. On the sixth floor the new rooms are sold as finished but the finishing touches are missing in the room and there is still work in progress. There are NO bathrobes in the room and the bathroom kit is really basic for a 4 star hotel. In Rimini at the prices offered by this hotel you can find better.

We were supposed to be on vacation at this hotel in mid-July 2024. My children were looking forward to the holidays and staying at the Sporting Hotel. At the beginning of July, there was a car accident in our family. One person died and the other was taken to hospital. We asked the hotel for a change of date, a voucher for another date or a refund of the costs incurred. The hotel refused, said that it was a punishment for us. It was weak, there is no greater tragedy than the death of a loved one. We were very sorry. And to Mrs. Milena, I wish that she will never find herself in the same situation as us. Best regards. Some rooms has fridge some has not. Beers sold by reception staff in different prices. It looks like some of them adding tips on top of the price. Shame on you. Small beer cost you 4 or 5 euros depends on person selling it to you. No place to leave your laguages despite early check out. Staff lie about hotel closing even though place is open all day. I was unable to extend room for another few hours. When I arrived room was not ready. The only positive I got is location quite close to the beach.
