Hotel Mirage in Messina

I stayed at this hotel for a month. Staff were friendly and professional. I had a double room which was spacious although the shower room was small- however this is reflected in the price. The service is brilliant and the rooms are great value for money. I do believe the rooms are all different in layout even though they are double. Also a great location. The bus station is the over the road as is the train station. There is a tram stop in the same place so you can get around the city. Unlike every other hotel I've stayed in the Mirage doesnt give guests 24 hour access to the hotel. Once they know the guests have returned the staff on duty go to sleep and then no one can be contacted to gain access into the hotel. Once you return for the evening that's it, no going out again. Not a major issue in this case as there isnt lots to be done at that time of night in Messina. I was pleased with the service I received I would stay again.

Less than five minutes from the train station. Reasonable price, free WiFi and breakfast. Nothing special and not the nicest area. Great for passing through.
