The room was clean, tidy, and pretty quiet. The dining and chill-out areas are big, and you get nice views of the sea and cruise ships. There’s even a little pool with cute turtles at the entrance, which I really liked.
Just a heads-up: the wooden board under the mattress is easy to bump legs on — I mentioned it to the host, so hopefully it gets adjusted. I was also woken up by some random noise in the morning, but it wasn’t a huge deal.

Overall, a nice stay and a comfortable place to relax.

Clean, great a/c, large shared space, ordered breakfast from partnered site by whatsapp, 24 hour coffee. Slow shower drain, peeling paint, long walk to sites.

The location is a bit far from the city center, so it's recommended to take public transportation. Check-in is self-service, but the host is happy to help and resolve any issues. The room is spacious, has a private bathroom, and the environment is well-maintained. It's very nice☺️

The room is good; the building is terrifying and smelled of some kind of urine. If you told me it was an abandoned sanitarium I would believe you

Great room and very comfortable The staff was very helpful and professional. I would stay there again when I returned to Italy..

The faceless B&B. Even in the morning, nobody was there. The room was very dark. Air condition worked well.

02.07.2024 Brenton

In three months on the road, this is perhaps the worst place I've stayed.

The ambiance is awful. It's in an old condo building. There's barely a sign out front, and you have to find the A elevator bank to come upstairs. Nobody was here when I arrived at sundown, so I had to look up their number and call them. They didn't pick up, but called me back quickly, so I could let myself in to a dark, empty hotel. (It was probably luck that someone buzzed me in downstairs at all.)

The room is underlit, with a smokey musk. The bed is two crappy mattresses pushed together, and you can hear every noise the neighbors make. I barely slept.

The sheets are stained, the bathroom is moldy, and the showerhead is corroded. You can guess how soft the towels are. The toilet button sticks, so you have to press it a bunch of times to stop the water from running.

"At least the water pressure is good," I thought. The water went cold before I could lather up. Maybe for the best, because the harmonic hum it makes would have given me a headache.

The "breakfast" in "bed and breakfast" is a buffet of pastries that have been left out for who knows how long. It costs an additional 5€.

The ferry leaves from down the street every 40 minutes, which means the best thing about this place is that it's easy to leave.

I've been here for five nights. The location of the B&B is great, just in front of the ferries, minutes away from the centre via bus or tram, with a stunning view on the strait from the balcony. The room was very spacious, air conditioned and with a comfortable bed. The WiFi didn't work for a couple of days, after that it was fine. The hairdryer cable in the bathroom seems like it might benefit from maintenance. Breakfast is just OK. Checking in and out is straightforward. Great value overall, a good place to stay

Nice apartment with large breakfast area with a balcony and water view. Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice hot water for the shower.

Almost nothing open in Messina
The location was close to the Regional museum which I wanted to see but quite a distance from other sites. I expected things to be closed for Ephinany but Sunday was the same. Not sure if it’s because of off- season or Sunday. Hard to find anything open - even the tobacco stores were closed so couldn’t buy tram tickets
