We spent a few days in this resort as a family. It was well situated, lovely gardens, very clean rooms. Food was decent but not stellar, as were some of the staff who were at times brusque and seemed annoyed at our requests. This was a great property with lovely rooms, nice staff, good restaurant. Location is ok if you have a car. Great parking with either outside or underground for a small fee. Not close to town so you need a car or transportation to get to town. Not really a walkable location to see anything. But overall a great place to stay while visiting this area.

Hotel position excellent on the main road of Modica, walking distance from city center. Amenities a bit old, specially shower very small and shower head a bit crazy. All in all anyway a good quality-price ratio.

The hotel was in a tranquil location and perfect for travelling with electric charging car since it has the possibility of charging electric vehicles onsite at a cost of 15e per charge. I was impressed by the spotless white linen in the rooms and the cleeanliness of the whole place. Staff were friendly and competent. There are excellent parking facilities and a quiet environment in the countryside.

Everything was great except for the restaurant manager, whose attitude was appalling. He seemed to go out of his way to ruin our evening - clearly more interested in asserting control over a group of women than providing good service. It felt like he was on a power trip, taking himself far too seriously. Really disappointing behaviour in an otherwise lovely place.

Very comfortable rooms in a well finished and smart hotel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. One major benefit of this location is the superb top class restaurant with the chef Claudio Ruta, who specialises in using local ingredients from the region. Well worth a visit.

It's surprisingly far from the city center and difficult to walk to, so please be careful. However, there is a small garden and a field, so you can relax. The breakfast is also very luxurious, with a variety of sweets, tarts, freshly squeezed fruit juice, and more. This is a great B&B to relax at.

Great value for the $$. Though it’s not in the heart of the city, the setting is private and serene. Really liked our very friendly hosts. They were very helpful and accommodating. Private parking was a must and it’s great. The breakfast is a little not like breakfast that we’re used to, but it was still nice if you want meat and cheese. Strategically located for visiting the city, just a short walk from the center but thankfully away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. Stayed 1 night as part of cycling tour of Sicily. While this hotel appears to be a bit out of the way it's quite walkable into the centre of Modica. The room and breakfast were both excellent. Although it's next to the train station there was no noise from the trains.

It's one of the best 4☆ hotels in the area, big comfortable rooms and well managed, a bit hard to reach but that is due to the city planning. Private parking is also a big plus

Just outside of town, ie 10mins walk, but quiet so a good nights sleep. Rooms very clean, enough space, good shower, wifi, a relatively modern building. Breakfast average, too much pre-packed food, ie not enough fresh food / juice, coffee grim.

We had a room in the annex which was 30 second walk from the main hotel building but was very peaceful and a lovely room. Hotel staff were fabulous and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very relaxed and takes place in / outside the in-house cafe. Hotel offered reasonably priced valet parking which given the tight roads, tricky parking situation and confusing one way systems I would recommend!

Wonderful hotel that hails back to the golden age of travel. This family run hotel has impeccable staff who provide a marvellous experience in this unique historical area. Next door is an upmarket restaurant oozing in style and 10 metres away is a perfect little bistro with a fantastic selection of wines and a few snacks.

Excellent hotel the rooms and facilities are extraordinary beautiful, you feel steeped in history. The host is very very friendly and welcoming. Although there is a school next door we were not disturbed by noise at all. It’s about a 20 minute walk to down town which is challenging on the way back as it is up hill. We loved it ..

From the moment of our arrival, the staff were incredibly friendly and could not do enough to help. We were offered a coffee while we checked in. This is obviously an old Palazzo turned into a hotel and not a purpose built new hotel. It has charm and history and old-fashioned service. There is a nice little cafe serving traditional breakfast. If you are after a Hilton type hotel it's not for you. But if you are curious to learn about the city, it's history and the family Palazzo history then it's excellent.

Very nice city, the staff was friendly and supportive. The heating wasn’t warm enough and we have to keep it on the whole day but still cold at night. The breakfast is limited but ok. No tea/coffee maker in the rooms and no one at small bar .

The location is great and the welcome we received was great ( it feels a bit mean to criticise but need to). This is an olde building next to the cathedral in Modica alta. Essentially the interior has been ripped out and replaced with something ultra modern. Furnishings are cheap and cleanliness is not great (stains on the carpet and mould inThe shower). Getting a beer when we arrived was like appearing...

I stayed 4 nights. We were a large group and caused a bit of a stir. The girls, extremely kind and helpful, were able to manage the entire group perfectly, meeting everyone's various requests and needs. I highly recommend it.

The location of the hotel is OK, not far from the station, the town is not big, and activities are quite convenient. The boss lady is quite cost-conscious. Continental breakfast, nothing special.

Classic Italian hotel with beautiful rooms! Antonio, the owner, could not have been more pleasant- and these were easily the nicest rooms we’ve had on the trip - big windows that open onto a balcony with a lovely view. There is a formidable flight of stairs at the bottom that will discourage older, less mobile travelers, but others will be rewarded with a step back in time to large rooms, high ceilings...

Small quiet and clean hotel. Great location, great view of Modica

The attention of Antonio, the owner, was excellent. Relying on his advice was the best way to experience Modica and its surroundings in the most complete way. The master bedroom overlooks the city very comfortable and large, well cleaned. Definitely I recommend it but I recommend that you read the notes about the hotel's location.

Quiet, beautiful and centrally located. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I decided to use Le Magnolie as a base while exploring Val di Noto and spent three wonderful weeks there. I would definitely stay there again and thoroughly recommend it.

If we hadn't stayed in this b & b, our visit to modica would not have been so pleasant: in fact, in a few minutes on foot you can reach the center of modica basso directly and the owner allowed us to leave the car as long as we needed! Then the rooms are spotless and you can smell the smell of laundry in every corner of the structure. Only thing remember to bring cash!

Perfect place to visit modica. It is located 250 meters from the center, but also on the main road x to go around the places near modica. A praise to the cleanliness, upon entering you could smell an excellent smell of freshly cleaned house and of sheets just out of the washing machine. Our room was really big.
