Hotels in Passignano sul Trasimeno

This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel, and instead it's like a 1980s Holiday Inn Motor Lodge. The uphill climb from parking lot with luggage was horrible, the layout of the maze of hallways was bizarre and HOT, dated and dirty, crawling with kids and families. We thought we booked a boutique hotel, but got this instead. The rooms were basic, no art on walls, terribly uncomfortable and hard beds, dirty...

In general a good place to stay. Excellent pool and pool area to relax. Good location easy access to station and town and good parking provision. Initial room offer not so good but we were able to move to a much nicer room with no problem.Buffet breakfast good with many options. The only downside is no WiFi in the rooms but good WiFi in communal areas.

Unfortunately, it wasn't at all up to the 4-star standard. The only positive was the breakfast. I didn't get to try the pool, so I can't comment on that. The downsides, however, were: no Wi-Fi in the room, contrary to what was stated in the booking; the room was in truly terrible condition (see attached photos); the cleanliness of the floor in the room left much to be desired, as did the restroom...

Great little place Stayed for 3 Nights really nice little place slightly expensive on the drinks though, the staff were lovely, it’s a shame they don’t have WI-Fi in the Bedrooms something the hotel should consider

Good location & service delivery Pro: The hotel is at a very good location. Close to the train station that will take you to the city and out of it. On arrival meet by such friendly reception staff Room 94 allocated on level O overlooking car park. Clean room but not 4* amenities, curtains did not fully block out lights from car park. Comfy bed and decent shower. We were half board and arrived late but had a buffet evening meal which was average. Breakfast was good the following morning and had a lovely day by the pool. This hotel has a brilliant location, right on the lakeside. It has a lovely feeling and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and clean . All in all a very good hotel in a great location

Everything was wonderful. The food and atmosphere at the restaurant was fantastic. The location was so close to everything -food, drinks, the train station. A perfect hotel in a perfect place.

It was a very nice hotel, very good located directly by the lake but in the town anyway. I liked the room, spacious, nice, comfortable. Bathroom was nice too. Bed very nice. I booked view towards the town but changed the room and got one other room with view over the lake, it was fantastic. I enjoyed there. Breakfast was good, variable, eggs, different salami and cheese, bread also, really good breakfast...

The personnel is made of great people. Helped us get to the nearest station when we were exhausted. Pinnacle of Italian hospitality. Definitely recommend staying there :)

Wow! The staff here went above and beyond in their hospitality. Very, very impressed with how very kind and helpful everyone here was!! Everything we tried from the restaurant was incredible too. We came to Lake Trasimeno for a wedding at the Borgia Castle and loved the area. We would recommend Il Gabbiano to anyone traveling to the Passignano sul Trasimeno/Torricella/Magione area. We were there on January. I didn't use the pool, because it was closed. The hospitality was good. The breakfast was good. Also the host was nice and friendly.

We spent only one night in the hotel, but our kids really enjoyed the swimming pool and we appreciated the included breakfast. The room for 4 was a bit small, but for one night stay ok.It was well airconditioned.

Worth for money which we spent

Awesome stay with the proprietorship going out of their way to help. Really worth the money. Remember always to keep the mosquito net of the window to be closed in the evening as insects from outside can be attracted with the lights on.

Although not there very long, I liked the hotel. It had everything. ...a very nice pool, the beautiful view of the Lake, a fanstastic restaurant, great staff.

We stayed here for a week at the end of August to attend a wedding nearby. The hotel is on a campsite with mostly caravans and RV’s on the edge of the lake. Everything was perfect about our stay in this lovely hotel. We planned on staying 1 night, but we even prolonged our stay with one more night. The host (Roberto if I remember well) was really nice and accomodating, the room was clean and big with a good bed and a great balcony, and the swimming pool was very nice as well. Spent two nights here, middle of summer. The service was outstanding! No effort spared to make us comfortable. Mind that the hotel does not have climate control in (all) guest rooms, nor is there a mini-bar or fridge in the room. If that doesn't bother you, look no further than this family-run, friendly and cosy accomodation.
