Hotel Universal Terme in Abano Terme

Very disappointing. It all started upon our arrival, our luggage were standing in the hall (by the way no one cared about helping us with our 10 suitcases and two old ladies and my handicapped sister accompanying me) and one of the ladies of the staff (probably the manager) stumbled into one of our suitcases and complained about the fact that they were not supposed to be there, on her way… No apology, nothing. No comment! The room we had was old, the carpet was not clean, everything needs to be renovated. It is not a 4 star hotel; rather a 3 star. You go there for staying in the hot pool but they do not provide you with slippers (you have to pay for them) or towels (which you also need to pay for). They also make you wear a swimming cap in the pool and again they charge you for this. A disgrace. Swimming pool is nice though. We had some dinners at the hotel and the food was good but the service is rather poor.

The hotel, meubels and equipment are very old. The room was not really clean, dust on the floor and on the lamps. The breakfast is poor, fruits and vegetables tasteless, poor choice. The swimming pools are ok, the douche cabins by the pools are not clean.
The stuff is very friendly and helpful.
