Waking up to an iconic view of the Grand Canal directly from the room is an experience that justifies the property's reputation. A Concierge That Aces the Stress Test The true highlight of my stay was the concierge service. My arrival was a logistical nightmare due to ITA Airways delaying my flight five separate times. However, the Gritti team managed the situation perfectly. They arranged a private chauffeur who was waiting for me the moment I deplaned, and they seamlessly rearranged all my dining reservations. They took a high-stress travel situation and made it completely frictionless, ensuring I was comfortable from the moment I arrived. Dining and Breakfast While the food at the various bars and restaurants can be a bit hit-or-miss in terms of consistency, the breakfast is absolutely stunning and top-notch. Dining at Club del Doge provides one of the most spectacular views of the Grand Canal you can find in the city, making even a "standard" meal feel like a special occasion. Verdict Among the many five-star properties I have stayed at globally, the Gritti Palace stands out for its "hardware" and its exceptional service recovery. It has officially become my go-to for Venice.

Dreamy hotel in the heart of Venice. We had a Venetian suite, which looks like a fairytale room. Upon entering, we were greeted by a huge and gorgeous fresh arrangement of the most beautiful blush pink roses I have ever seen. Also, a luxurious box of chocolates in hand made paper. The bathroom included luxe Aqua di Parma amenities. The location is perfect and right on the canal. The staff members were outstanding. We also enjoyed the lobby/lounge areas and browsing through the large signature book that holds entries from all kinds of celebrities through the decades. This is a dream stay in Venice!

A truly museum-like stay.From the first minute of the check-in Laura, who checked us in, made us feel like Doge Gritti’s special guests. The location on the Grand Canal is perfect, the lobby feels regal yet inviting, and our room came with marble bathroom plus a lovely welcome of cookies, chocolate, and wine. Canal-side dining was unforgettable, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout.

We came to The Gritti Palace to begin celebrating our wedding anniversary, and from the very first moment we felt truly special.

We were warmly welcomed and escorted to reception, where we were immediately seated, offered water, and informed about a wonderful surprise awaiting us. What followed was simply unforgettable – an absolute highlight that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Everything was perfect! The service was not only fast but flawless.

The next morning we were congratulated again, treated to a delightful breakfast, and sent off with such genuine care. Absolute world-class hospitality! Truly superb in every way.
