I booked this place via Booking. We however did not stay because we discovered an insect that looked to a layman like cockroach in the bathroom. I exchanged with the owner over a trauma I had and I thought we had an arrangement that I get at least a partial refund. It was somehow my fault that I did not explicitly ask for that. So, the host cancelled my stay and potentially re-rented the room. He did not even return the tourist tax. I am not an expert on taxes in Italy but I would assume that he does not have to pay it if I don’t stay there. The argument was that the insect is not dangerous in which he might be right. I am however writing this review in order to create transparency for people who are like me a bit more sensitive when it comes to non-human guests sharing the room.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast and clean. The owner always has some nice insider tips and also makes recommendations for some nice walks and tours. Definitely a place to stay in Venice for a fair price!

I stayed here for two nights and It was a fantastic experience. It's central located but really quiet and comfortable.
Friendly environment.
If I ever come back to Venice I will come back here.
