The hotel is 3 stories high, on top of a small mountain. The rooms have great views and seem to have been renovated, but some of the layout is a bit odd. The worst thing about this hotel was that there was a large public bath on the third floor, but in the morning and evening, the smell of grilled meat and fish would come up from the dining area on the first floor at the entrance of public bath. The smell even drifted into the hallway of the rooms. Also, the parking lot was underground, and there was only a staircase from there to the first floor where the front desk was. However, the room rate was a good deal.

As you can see in the photo, it's terrible. Parking is also very inconvenient. I recommend checking reviews and other information before making a reservation.

This was my first time staying at Kamenoi Hotel.
The service from the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and souvenir shop was warm and wonderful.
The Kamenoi Hotel T-shirt was so cute I couldn't help but buy one. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
I will definitely stay here again when I visit Fukui.

I was able to spend the night on top of a mountain with a panoramic view of nature. When I opened the curtains, the beautiful morning sun streamed in, making it a truly meaningful morning.
There was also a hot spring, which was a welcome addition for me as I enjoy alternating baths. Also, there was a special offer exclusively for guests to eat white tantanmen noodles for free if they went to the restaurant after 8pm? or 9pm, so I went to try it. It was delicious and I was feeling a bit hungry so it was just right. There are no convenience stores nearby so it would be convenient to buy some to take home.
I would definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity.

The hotel itself was very nice✨
The staff were also very kind.
The only thing that was disappointing was that the plumbing was old and dirty. I'm not a fan of public baths, so I used the bath in my room, but the sink and bathtub drained poorly and it was difficult to flush, and the shower didn't work very well either, which was a bit stressful.
Other than that, the room was spacious, and it was very helpful as it's rare to find rooms that are specifically designed for barrier-free access☺️

The hotel is very old and very isolated. There are no restaurants nearby and it is on top of a steep incline. On top of that, ironically, the staff is super unhelpful and didn't even bother to inform us we would need to book the hotel restaurant in advance. We asked on check-in if we could eat there and they pointed us toward some noodle bowls... but they neglected to inform us that these were only available from 9pm.
My parents and I headed down to dinner only to be told we couldn't eat there. Impossible. Because this is Japan and let's just say that this hotel is not very flexible. It seems to be stuck in the 60's in regards to amenities, language barriers, etc. It has not been renovated since. The rooms smell, the corridor smells... I would not recommend staying here. It is just so sad. We ended up eating at a delicious yakiniku place nearby. We will need to take a taxi back. If you have a car and are desperate, consider it. Otherwise, leave it in the 60's where it belongs.
