Reasonable price with super friendly staff!
Close to train station. No on-sight parking, but commercial parking available very close. Hotel provides parking pass after checkin. Don’t pay for parking first.
For basic BNB , close to station and sea mall, the air con a bit too hot
The quality of the hotel was enough for one night. There was amenities, bathtub, and a TV. It is located right in front of Shimonoseki Station which is great.
Good location Good service Good price and close to karate market
Near the city centre. All the staffs are well trained and polite. Meear by Karato market.

Overall, it was a decent accommodation. In particular, being near the station made it convenient for activities in the area.
I had a truly wonderful stay at VIA INN SHIMONOSEKI and would happily give it a well-deserved 5-star review. The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from Shimonoseki Station, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, dining, and onward travel. Whether you’re exploring the Kanmon Straits or heading out for a day trip, everything feels effortlessly accessible. The room was...
It was very accessible, right in front of the station. I loved soaking in the public bathhouse.
Good service, good location, and good time.
An incredibly satisfying stay despite being just one night. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and overall, it offered amazing value for the price. The amenities exceeded expectations, and the onsen water was fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great and affordable place to stay in Shimonoseki.

There was a sauna, midnight noodles, ice cream, and free drinks, and the room was very clean and wonderful.
The hotel is very affordable, and it has a hot spring on the rooftop. Late-night snacks, ice cream, and drinks are mostly free. Although it's a little far from the train station, it's still highly recommended.
Overall you can except the same service from this Dormy like any other
The hotel parking space, is outsourced to park in another place, we arrived at 3:30 pm, saw a parking space but the staff said there was someone parked, just out! But the outsourced parking space has a time limit, not self-in, in addition to the time clock, if there is an option, the hotel's own parking lot is much more convenient! Every time there is no parking space, but the hotel hot spring is on...

Breakfast wasn't our cup of tea but locals seemed to like it
I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very kind, and the location is excellent.
Convenient,3 min walk to the JR station. International ferry terminal to Busan is also close. Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room.. Simple but good japanese breakfast. Good value. Recommended
It was an amazing experience in staying this hotel. The most impressive one was staff. They were so kind. I felt like staying in my neighborhood. This hotel provided a breakfast which was simple but has good taste and was enough for starting fir the day. I absolutely stay here again when I will visit this area.
It's conveniently located within 5 minutes from Shimonoseki Station. There are yakitori restaurants, izakayas, and convenience stores nearby, making it convenient. Since there were no non-smoking rooms, I had no choice but to reserve a smoking room. The smell of cigarettes was very strong, from the hallways to the inside of the room... If you're not a smoker, I recommend only booking a non-smoking...
It was great because it was a smoking room. The large bathhouse had hot and cold water, and a sauna, so I was very satisfied. The location was also good because it was right in front of the station, and the restaurants nearby were good.

The hotel is located near Moji Port and offers free parking. Its location is excellent, with nearby attractions approximately 15 minutes away. Highly recommended!
I thought the room key was an auto-lock, but it wasn't. I think they should make that clear.
Good location. Reasonable price. Futon is a bit hard.

Is very nice hotel with good location. Breakfast was excellent. Value for money. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Will come back again if we do visit Mojiko.
Location Premier : steps from Mojiko Station and the ferry terminal. Rooms : harbor-view rooms are highly recommended.
The rooms were recently renovated, the bathrooms were spacious and we had the view of the pier. We got the deluxe room with lounge access which I would recommend. There were snacks available and the lounge was well designed and not crowded. There are multiple well designed spots around the hotel - although it is already >30+ years old, it has a timeless feel. The breakfast was ok. We had dinner at...
The view is stunning and the location is spot on. I really loved the retro room design—it totally matches the city’s vibe. The only downside is the breakfast room; it’s way too small, so be prepared to wait in line.
Great location, staffs were helpful. I would recommend to all.
The hotel is very well located, close to Mojiko Station and within easy reach of the main tourist spots. It’s not new or modern and has more of an 80s–90s vibe, but it’s clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The price is reasonable. The check-in and check-out process was… impressively punctual. I arrived less than 10 minutes before the official 3:00 pm check-in time and was attended to right away...

The rice balls for breakfast were delicious and there was a wide variety.
The receptionist wasn't very friendly. They initially gave me a room on the second floor, but the window was blocked by a wall, and insisted there were no other rooms available. After I insisted (otherwise I would cancel my booking), they changed me to a room on the 8th floor.
Although it's a little far from Shimonoseki Station, there's a bus stop nearby and buses to Karato Market run frequently, making it a convenient location for both sightseeing and business. There's a supermarket nearby, including a DAISO, so I had a comfortable stay. Breakfast is rice balls, which can be eaten in your room.
Due to circumstances, it is a hotel with excellent breakfast and cost-effectiveness that I would stay one more night. I was a little disappointed because there were less places to eat nearby than I thought.
The room was clean and it was easy to get to lots of places.
A hotel with a clean and affordable price. I would like to stay there again.

Felt like going back in time 50 years, air con did not work and the pillows were thinner than flat Stanley.
The price was reasonable. It was very convenient because it was close to the Sea Mall, so I could kill some time, and it was also close to Karato Market and Kaikyokan Aquarium! However, you can hear a lot of noise from the next room, so it might be a problem for some people. The staff were very kind!
Room was fairly small but expected for the price. It seemed they were in a rush to clean up the room, since we found 2 used toothpaste tubes left in the bath and only one pair of slippers. But overall does the job for needing a room on a road trip.
It's very close to the station, so it's convenient. There's a Max Value, department store, Yoshinoya, and other places nearby, so you can easily shop and eat. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I'll use it again. It's also easy to get to the bus that goes to Ganryujima.
Good stay, nice and cheap. Very central location and easy to access everything
This hotel is very convenient because it is close to the train station and a shopping mall. Staff is friendly and can speak in English. Bad side is that the car park is paid (500 yen) and too far away (5 mins walk from hotel).

I was impressed by the staff's smart and attentive service. The food was fresh and delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed dinner while watching the night view. The room and shower room were spacious, so I was able to relax. There are no convenience stores or shops nearby, but the hotel is close to Yume Tower, so you can enjoy a different world.
The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the Kanmon Strait. From the restaurant, you can enjoy a panoramic vista of the Kanmon Bridge and the many large ships passing through the channel. The location is perfect for exploring Shimonoseki. It’s within walking distance of the Kaikyo Yume Tower, which offers a stunning 360-degree view of the city. Also, the area is famous for...
The location is more suitable for those with cars. Although there is a bus stop at the intersection not far away, the frequency of buses is less. The hotel facilities are acceptable and the decoration is not very new, but there are no problems with hygiene and environment.
The central air conditioner is old and kept ringing in the middle of the night, waking me up. Location: Fifteen minutes from the pier.

Although the design of the hotel is relatively simple and old, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel's location was good, but the rooms feel old. I stayed with breakfast included, so the breakfast was good.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Very friendly and helpful check in staff. Breakfast was reasonable
OK hotel but very expensive for the quality: the equipment is old.
Although the facilities are old, they are good value for money and the rooms are spacious. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Shimonoseki Station, so it's great for walking around.
Been here for just one night and must say great deal for money and you'll get a nice and relaxing place to stay.. Staff were so accommodating. Two thumbs for that.

Highly recommend. Staffs are friendly. Really nice interior. Nothing to complain about with this budget.
Great service, and a great minigame by the hotel staff where they hid 10 pufferfish at the lobby area. Me and my friend spent a while finding and it is fun. Onsen is available, but do not expect too much of it.
It's nice that the bath is open from 3am to 9am the next day.
I could really feel that they put a lot of effort into the interior.
It’s so good so delicious 😊
The hotel is a small, traditional Japanese-style hotel. The toilet is an all-in-one unit. The space is very limited, making it unsuitable for family trips. It's more suitable for business travelers staying one or two nights.

I’m a simple man. Stayed 2 nights. No complaints. Rooms are small but it’s a business hotel so not surprised. Would recommend if you’re not going to just sit in your hotel the whole time.
The hotel is extremely close to Shimonoseki Station, which makes it very convenient for a quick transit stop. Located by the water, the area is relatively quiet, but unfortunately, there aren’t many attractions nearby. Dining options are quite limited—there’s a small “Busan Street” with a few Korean restaurants and some old izakayas, but not much else. It’s okay for a one-night stay, though I wish...
It was clean and functional. The staff are polite and helpful. I forgot my drink in the fridge and checked out, but it was kept properly. Thank you for your support.
It is convenient near the station. The rooms are not large, but the chairs have tires for easy movement, and the amenities are not disposable but environmentally friendly. Breakfast can be selected from Japanese set meal, porridge, rice ball set, etc. (at check-in) I felt that the staff were all polite.

It is located right in front of the ferry terminal connecting Mojiko Port and Karato, so although it is far from Shimonoseki, I think it has very good access to tourist spots.
The hotel is very old fashioned. The room is dated and small.  The staff is not helpful. Honestly, we won’t come back again.
The ocean/sea view from this hotel is MAGNIFICENT & BREATHTAKING! Location is FANTASTIC ... 3 mins walk to karato fish market. I would definitely come back here to stay even tho it is an older hotel & dated. But the rooms are clean & decent. Car park is free. One full day stay is enough as other than the fish market, sadly, the town is quite dead.
The room is not small, the location of the hotel is also very good, and you can see the beautiful scenery from the balcony.
If you're having dinner in Shimonoseki, this hotel is great! The food is close and the view from the window is amazing!!!

The Prince Hotel in Shimonoseki is right by the station, less than 5 minutes walk. To get there without steps was a slightly longer route but does exist. The area it is in is largely derelict businesses or sex work establishments so if that bothers you I would book elsewhere. The rooms itself was surprisingly spacious with good functionality and facilities. The bed was comfortable and while there...
The breakfast is simple but the overall environment is very clean. The price is too high during holidays and it is not worth it. There is a *** next to it and the conditions are a bit poor. If you are traveling with children, it may be a bit bad.
It's conveniently located near the station. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope they can improve the breakfast, which is only toast.
Free parking is available. There is a multi-storey car park just behind the hotel.
Much better than I thought. I thought it was a shabby little hotel, but I didn't expect it to be clean, sanitary and cheap. The front desk was very friendly and it is super close to the station. I spent two days here. Nearby is the Chunfan Tower where the Treaty of Shimonoseki was signed.
It was an old-fashioned business hotel, but the location was good. I would have appreciated it if the free breakfast had more items.

Free flow of softserve ice-cream and beer. Evening has complementary noodles.Typical Japanese set Breakfast. Big onsen facility.
The staff and service are fantastic. The service is excellent, and the value for money is fantastic. It was a little disappointing that the jetted bath in the large public bath was out of service and the waterfall shower didn't come out even when I pressed the button, but the excellent staff and service made up for the lack of facilities.
Although it's an old facility, it's clean and well-maintained. The friendly service is definitely top-notch. The complimentary draft beer and ice cream were even better. The view of Kanmon Bridge from the room was also excellent.
The beer and soft serve ice cream service was great. A beer right after a bath. 🍺 Soft serve ice cream is great before bed. The dinner was delicious and filling.
The room was nice, with a view of the Kanmon Strait Bridge (partially). It's close to the entrance and exit of the Kanmon Strait Tunnel, making it convenient for commuting to and from Shimokanmonji. There's a hot spring bath for relaxation, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast was rich and delicious, with free beer and ice cream.

Former Governor of Tokyo, Mr. Masuzoe, highly praised the hot springs It's a gushing hot spring ♨.It doesn't have a harsh sulfur scent, and the water just sticks to your skin. This is a quiet hot spring where you can faintly hear the sound of the river.

There is a parking lot next to the hotel, but it has limited space and requires advance reservations. The room layout is old, but it appears to have...
The location is excellent. To be honest, the facilities are a bit old. However, the value for money is excellent. I think it's a hotel worth staying at. Are the walls thin? Sometimes I can hear voices and snoring next door.
I stayed here on a solo trip during the three-day weekend in July. I arrived quite late because I caught the last train, but the front desk staff were kind and I felt at ease. The Showa-era atmosphere that can be felt from the exterior is also felt inside. The room also had a retro feel. It's enough if you're just staying for a night.
It was on the top floor, the fifth floor, and the view from the window was of Shimonoseki city and the sea. It was a single room, but it was quite spacious (probably it used to be a twin room) and the interior had a somewhat Showa-era feel to it. However, the bathroom had been renovated and was a beautiful unit bath. There was a humidifier, so I used it. It was a shame that there was no outlet for...
It's good to be close to the station. However, since the facility is old, it would be better if it was clean. The person at the counter took care of the laundry, so they were good at dealing with problems.
I was surprised to take advantage of the narrow location seen from the pedestrian bridge. It's an old hotel, but it's well maintained. I wish I could use the old-fashioned dining room on the 2nd floor. The front desk staff was enthusiastic about serving customers, although they no longer had the power to serve meals.

I stayed at this hotel twice, at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, when I returned home to Kyushu from Kanagawa. Breakfast only costs 10 yuan extra, which is very good, but I have to go to the gateway market the next day, so I don't have it.
