Premier Hotel Mojiko in Kitakyushu

The rooms were recently renovated, the bathrooms were spacious and we had the view of the pier. We got the deluxe room with lounge access which I would recommend. There were snacks available and the lounge was well designed and not crowded.
There are multiple well designed spots around the hotel - although it is already >30+ years old, it has a timeless feel. The breakfast was ok. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant, the food was ok but service was poor, especially for Japanese standards

Is very nice hotel with good location. Breakfast was excellent. Value for money. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Will come back again if we do visit Mojiko.

The view is stunning and the location is spot on. I really loved the retro room design—it totally matches the city’s vibe. The only downside is the breakfast room; it’s way too small, so be prepared to wait in line.

The hotel is very well located, close to Mojiko Station and within easy reach of the main tourist spots. It’s not new or modern and has more of an 80s–90s vibe, but it’s clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The price is reasonable.

The check-in and check-out process was… impressively punctual. I arrived less than 10 minutes before the official 3:00 pm check-in time and was attended to right away. The staff completed the check-in steps, but since it was still a few minutes early, I was kindly asked to wait and return to the counter exactly at 3:00 pm to “officially” check in. I took a short stroll around the lobby, came back a few minutes later, and was helped by the same staff member—right on time.

Check-out followed the same philosophy. At precisely 11:00 am, all staff appeared at the counter and guests then queued to check out. Not a minute earlier.

It was actually quite amusing and charming in its own way—they really do things by the book and take punctuality seriously.

Overall, I had a comfortable three-night stay and would definitely stay here again.

I had a lovely 1-night stay at Premier Hotel Mojiko. The hotel has a charming atmosphere and a great location near the waterfront, making it perfect for a short visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and professional, and the overall experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again.

Hotel location is great and in the heart of shopping and restaurants. Service is excellent and we were offered free Christmas drink on the house.

Wonderful stay at Premier Hotel Mojiko for two nights. Just a 3 minutes walk from Mojiko train station.

Coming out from the hotel, you will see the exceptionally spectacular view of the Kanmon Bridge. Also, the ferry service is nearby where you can take a 5 minutes ride opposite to the Karata Fish Market for fresh sushi!

Hotel room is good is size for twin sharing and clean. The service staff are very hospitable too.

Hotel breakfast is great too! Lots of Japanese breakfast food choices.

Nearby the hotel are souvenir shops and coffee places where you can catch a drink or get some nice gifts for family.

Kanmon Straits Museum and Kyushu Rail Museum are all within 10min walking distance from the hotel too!

If you are up for a walk to the Kanmon Bridge area to take the pedestrian tunnel, it’s about a 20-30min walk away by pathway. Good exercise!

Unique hotel design at a beautiful spot. Breakfast was amazing too! But internal space is little old with some plumbing issues.
