Reviews
The entrance had the dignified and luxurious atmosphere you'd expect from a high-class restaurant.
Our room was a two-room Japanese-style room. We had a panoramic view of the garden, and it gave us a sense of the extraordinary, like living in a Showa-era mansion, or like a literary giant who might have stayed here for a long time to write.
However, there were also many disappointing aspects.
- As cars have gotten wider over time, it's understandable, but the driveway is too narrow and I almost scraped my car against the plants.
- The attendant wasn't there at the scheduled check-in time.
- The tatami mats in the room were worn out.
- There was a teapot with half-finished drinks in the kettle and tea bucket left by the previous guest.
- The dining room was cold both in the evening and in the morning.
- We were seated diagonally across from each other at the dining table, even though there were only two of us.
- The warm air from the air conditioner blew directly onto the dining table.
- The attendant's language was brusque, and her phone rang multiple times while serving the meal.
- The food was delicious, but the lack of a menu made me uneasy.
- The sashimi at the beginning was plentiful, but the portions became smaller as the main course progressed.
Considering the price is in the high-end category in Ise, I hope they will study the hospitality practices of the latest resort hotels/ryokans and revise their service from the guest's perspective.
Also, the only air-conditioned areas in the living room were the living room and bedroom. The temperature changes when going to the toilet, washroom, and bathroom were too drastic, which actually made us feel more tired. The staircase was also dimly lit, which we felt was the most dangerous.
When our relatives arrived first, they weren't even offered a congratulatory message; they were silently led to a cold room.
Perhaps they were unhappy with the large number of guests… When we ordered drinks, we were curtly told, "They're over there," which puzzled my family.
They brought a certificate proving they used high-quality meat, but that too was silently placed on the table and taken away.
When we tried to take photos, they looked puzzled, didn't ask if we wanted to take them, and simply focused on clearing away the dishes (lol).
I feel terrible that my family had to endure such an unpleasant experience on such an important day. It's a shame, because the food was delicious.
Our important trip to Ise was slightly overshadowed, but it's still a memory we'll cherish forever. Thank you!
You can enjoy the gourmet food of Ise, and I would like to use it when you visit Ise next time (๑ • ̀ ㅂ • ́) و✧
But is it the worst accommodation?
There are only two rooms on the 2nd floor, one is a cypress bath, but the other is just a unit bath.
You can't lock the room when you go out.
The guy who happened to stay next to me was a noisy guy, so I used a hair dryer to walk around early in the morning.
It's noisy from 4 o'clock, but all the sounds echo.
I don't think it's an old building, but I think it's not good for an inn to hear the sound.
Although the price is high, neither the food nor the room is balanced.
Half price is fine.
It is a luxurious room
Because it is a Japanese-style room, there is a sense of security, but it is almost private
I no longer care
The food is kaiseki cuisine and is top notch
Have a quiet time
