We booked totally 3 rooms. Two without private toilet. One room has private toilet. All 3 rooms heaters were kerosene heaters. Public bath are overall applied to temples. Shojin cuisine for dinner were mostly cold only rice are good warm temperature.

We had a room with private bathroom but there was a japanese bath which was very nice.
Very nice place and the monks were very nice and helpful.
In the morning they had a ceremony with the guests which was also very interesting

Way overpriced for what it was. While the garden and the services were good, it’s not a working temple for monks. It’s more like an inn for tourists in a temple structure. The morning Buddhist service gave me the feeling that it was just catered for tourists. By all means check out Koyasan during the day but you would be better off staying outside the mountain for a fraction of the cost. There’s nothing extra zen about staying at this place.

The location is good and the environment is good. It is convenient to go everywhere. There is a good restaurant opposite.

The room was quite nice, and the environment inside the courtyard was elegant. I originally wanted to book Fuzhiyuan, but there was no room available ➕ Since the bus route was changed, it was far away, so I decided to choose Changxiyuan. When you go out, turn left and you will see Danshang Garan. Cross the road and diagonally to the left is Kongobong Temple. Across the road is the parking lot and bus station. Later, when we went to Wakayama, we didn’t take the electric train. Instead, we took the Nankai Bus directly to Wakayama Yacht City (Kuroshio Market). It was very convenient. I highly recommend staying here.

Had a good one night stay here. I was worried it wouldn’t be enough time to see everything i wanted too, but it turned out to be perfect. You can drop off your luggage before and after you check in which is really nice. Highlights for me were the public bath, and morning ceremony.

It's inconvenient to take a bath. You have to go to a public bath. The environment is beautiful.
